Until now, nonprofit organizations have not had much concern with creating management benefits. Nonprofit organizations were only concentrating on administrative services and publicity. But now, nonprofit organization need to innovation and entrepreneurship, and economical efficiency of investment. Public welfare are emphasized in all the social fields and the nonprofit organizations is providing a dazzling growth from 21 century. We need to listen to Peter Drucker's the theory as "ability of the government which has a social responsibility falls, but nonprofit organizations will be centered of the society." From now on, nonprofit public organizations need spontaneously public finance, because the industrial society is developing in the knowledge information society. As a result of this study, the economical efficiency in the investments decision of nonprofit organizations has positive effect on the factors of relevance of business, efficiency of business and management mind of the chief executive officer.

오늘날은 영리조직 뿐만 아니라 비영리단체에서도 혁신과 기업가정신을 가지고 환경 변화에 선도하는 조직문화의 구축이 요구된다. 지금까지 대부분의 비영리단체는 조직의 성과목표로서 경제성이나 효과성 보다는 행정 서비스나 공공성에 중점을 두었다. 그러나 오늘날 많은 비영리단체들이 재정상의 어려움에 직면하면서 영리조직과 같이 투자대상의 경제성에 관심을 가지게 되었다. 이와 같은 관점에서 본 연구는 비영리단체의 투자결정 요인을 실증적으로 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 투자대상의 적절성, 사업추진의 효율성 및 경영자의 경영마인드를 독립변수로, 투자안의 경제성을 종속변수로서 사용하였다. 연구결과 투자 대상의 적절성, 사업추진의 효율성 및 경영자의 경영마인드는 투자안의 경제성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
