In this article 1 have discussed the question as to "how should we carry out an ideal theological education?" and the quεstion concεrning “how should we provide the biblicalIy εducated pastors for the church?" In order to answer these difficult questions 1 suggest what seεms to be the most ideal theological education. Even though many people think that such an ideal approach is too idεal and not practical enough to be applied to our concrete situation, it is my strong conviction that such an ideal approach is the only way wε can solve our serious problem of theological education that resulted in providing hardly prepared pastors or badly educated pastors. Hence, I havε argued that we need to providε a very serious and high quality education for those who want to be pastors of the church, even though there must be various theological educations for all levels of people.

이 글에서는 ‘어떻게 하면 가장 바르고 이상적인 신학 교육을 할 것인가?’ 하는 문제와 ‘한국 교회 목회자 수급 문제를 어떻게 해결할 것인가?’라는 두 가지 어려운 문제를 이야기한다. 필자는 우선 간단히 각각의 문제를 다루면서， 아주 현실적인 우리 신학 교육 문제를 해결하기 위해 가장 이상적으로 생각되는 의견을 제시하였다. 우리가 가진 문제를 근본적으로 해결하기 위해서는 이 근원적 문제를 고치려는 노력을 하지 않으면 안 될 것이라는 판단에서 그리했다. 당장은 힘들더라도 이런 방향으로 나아갈 때만 우리는 성경적 신학 교육을 향하는 모습을 분명하게 드러낼 것이며， 그래야만 하나님 앞에서 우리의 신학 교육의 노력들이 유의미하게 나타날 것이다. 그러므로 신학을 공부하여 목회자가 되려는 분들에게 가장 엄격하고 수준 높은 교육을 해야 할 것을 요청하면서 이 논의를 결론지었다.
