In this article 1 studied about the Dong, Zhong-shu(B. C. 179 - 104)'s Yin-Yang and the Five Elements theory( 陰陽五行說)， his historical theory, and political theory. For first, 1 explained that Dong, zhong-shu’s Yin - Yang and the Five Elements theory is defending the class system of Han Dynasty by the theory of Yang( 陽) is high and Yin (陰) is low, and his theory was justifying Han Dynasty’s ruling power. For second, Dong zhong-shu’ s Grand unification by the guiding principle of Confucius is just 곧 sanctify the emperor' s power, in other words the theory of the divine right of kings. And his theory is intensifying Han Dynasty’s ruling power, and the origin of Sinocentrism.
And I studied Dong, Zhong-shu' s political theory by using Analytics method. Because his basic theory was built by re-analysing the importance Confucianism.

이 글에서는 동중서 철학의 이론적 토대가 되는 음양오행설(陰陽五行說)에 근거한 역사관과 춘추대일통의 정치관과 그 의미를 연구하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 동중서의 음양오행설은 사실 양존음비(陽尊陰卑)라는 가치개념으로 이해하여 사회의 신분적 계급질서를 옹호하고， 한(漢)왕조의 지배논리를 정당화하려는 이론임을 밝혔다. 그리고 동중서가 주장한 춘추대일통의 정치관은 왕권을 신성화하려는 왕권신수설(王權神授說)에 다름 아니며， 한 왕조의 항구적 지배를 강화하는 논리인 동시에 중화사상(中華思想)의 시작임을 알아보았다. 그리고 동중서의 정치이론을 이해하기 위해서는 해석학적 방법을 이용하였다. 왜냐하면 동중서의 학문의 배경이 되는 기초이론들은 유학의 중요이론들을 재해석함으로써 확립되었기 때문이다.
