Since the mid 20th century, the thought of eco-villages appeared due to growing population, environmental pollution and depletion of resources, and human needs to live pleasant environment. then we have practiced eco-villages. The thoughts of eco-villages are land ethics, bio-regionalism and green society. The practical forms of these thoughts comprise small community, equality, alternative technologies and appropriate technologies, self-sufficiency, ecological life. A renowned eco-villages of the world, they were owned land jointly in specific areas, and the members carry into practice bio-regionalism and green-society. Eco-villages of Jiri-Mt.'s region should be planed, practiced, operated also proximity the thought, ready now or in the early stages curved Gokseong, Gurye, Hadong counties of Jiri-Mt.'s southwestern. You will be find out prerequisite thesis for practice as follows. ① Such as who or their group make with the eco-village, they must understand basis of eco-village's thought, and also must be willing to practice it. ② Should aim for clear vision, because eco-villages are sustainable coexistence of human and natural systems. ③ Members who belong to the eco-village in the land should be able to carry only the land ethic. ④ Necessary sustainable development about of awareness for eco-villages and sense of ecological community. ⑤ Develop and disseminate to alternative technologies continually. 5⑥ Strengthen bio- regionalism. and finally, rear leaders of eco-villages, they should be rear by local governments or the private sectors. If you can solve these prerequisite thesis, I am assure of the future hopefully western eco-villages of Jiri-Mt.. Eco-villages are not existence, but it is process during practice. The practice of eco-villages in southwestern region of Jiri-Mt. that will be able to also contribute balanced development of Jiri-Mt. regions.
