This is a research on the experiences of Korean in China Manchuria who fought in the Korean War. Though the Koreans in China played a significant role in the war, they were nor given any proper attention from Korean or Chinese scholars. Korean War veterans who are still alive in China, this study shows the participation of Koreans in the war, which is not clear in the printed materials on the subject. They moved to North Korea and reshuffled as the main force before the breakout of Korean War. This finding reveals that China and North Korea had been cooperating militarily before the starting of the war and that North Korea had been systematically preparing for the war. But the Chinese Korean soldiers in Manchuria moved to North Korea in secret. The regime established by Koreans in China and founded the Chosun People Army, deeply involved in the Korean War despite of this study was not activated. Research in this area could not be activated because of the limitations of the data can be accessed. Materials, such as in the former Soviet Union and the United States at the time they are turned off is very open to let you know the situation, but China has been open only a portion of the data. 80,000 Korean people participated scale war in Manchuria for Korea is very limited data have been released. The findings of this study need be complemented with follow-up studies and document researches. Korea War is various characters and actors were deployed international war. However, throughout the war in Korea is still a debate is underway. Approached in this paper participated of Koreans in Manchuria, also very unique and important actors, but has not been investigated properly.

2010년은 한국전쟁이 발생한지 60년이 되는 해였다. 중국에서는 한국전쟁을 ‘항미원조전쟁’이라 부른다. 이 논문은 ‘항미원조전쟁’이라 부르는 한국전쟁에 북한을 돕기 위해 참전했던 만주지역 조선인에 대한 연구이다. 1945년 해방이후 중국 만주지역에 거주하던 미귀환 조선인은 중국 공산당과 함께 해방전쟁을 치르고 1949년 중화인민공화국을 수립하는데 공헌을 하였다. 중국 조선족이 된 이들은 1년 뒤 한반도에서 발생한 한국전쟁에 ‘항미원조 보가위국(抗美援朝 保家衛國)’이라는 기치로 참전했다. 중국 조선족들이 북한정권수립과 조선인민군 창건, 한국전쟁에 깊숙이 개입했음에도 불구하고 이에 대한 연구는 활성화 되지 못했다. 이 분야에 대한 연구가 활성화 되지 못한 것은 자료접근의 한계 때문이라고 할 수 있다. 구소련지역이나 미국 등의 자료들은 해제되어 상당히 공개되어 당시의 상황을 알게 해주고 있지만, 중국의 자료는 일부만 공개되고 있다. 8만명 규모가 참전한 만주지역 조선족인 참전에 대한 자료도 매우 제한적으로만 공개되고 있다. 중국 공민이자 한민족의 구성원인 조선인에게 한국전쟁은 어떠한 의미를 갖는 것일까? 조선인은 한국전쟁에 얼마나 참전했고 희생되었는가? 참전 후 중국과 북한으로부터 어떠한 대우를 받았는가? 이 논문은 중국 조선족이 한국전쟁에 참전한 배경과 과정, 규모 등에 대하여 분석해 보고, 이를 통해 이 분야에 대한 향후 연구 과제를 모색해 보고자 한다. 만주지역 조선인의 한국전쟁 참전에 대한 연구가 연변지역을 중심으로 이루어 졌는데, 이 논문은 흑룡강성 지역 3개의 조선인 시(현)을 포함시켰다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 최근 흑룡강성 조선족 100년을 다룬 민족지가 3권 발간되었고, 한국전쟁 부분에 대한 기초 자료들이 공개되었다. 상지시(2009), 밀산시(2007), 연수현(2005)에서 발간된 자료가 그것이다.
