This paper is a research about the Ekiben as one of Japanese traditional food culture. The Ekiben is formed in multi-disciplinary, the train trip and the catering industry. In the key words of the Ekiben, I was interested in particular about the relationship between JR and the Ekiben. And I analyzed it about a business activity and history of a company of JR Station Business Corporation mainly. As conclusions, JR Station Business Corporation is organized as Ekiben company members, and supported as part of the business in the JR Station, but there are no roles of making supervision or management of the Ekiben business. It is also easy to understand such situation from the history of the Ekiben company and the spread situation of the Shinkansen.
