The Internet is emerging as one of the most effective media to meet individual's need for communication activities such as internet chatting and group discussion. To understand online communication activities, the current study focuses on the impact of the technology acceptance model (TAM) and extends the TAM model to include the notion of a personal trait, online communication apprehension. The study results of the structural equation model analysis showed the significant impact of online communication apprehension as well as the importance of TAM understanding individual’s online communication activities such as chatting and group discussion. Thus, the current research insists that an individual's fear or anxiety associated with Netizen(s) in real or anticipated situation could be another significant factor to understand communication technology acceptance.
