- The EVMS(earned value management system) is proved to be very useful for the integration of planning, scheduling, budgeting, work authorization, and cost accumulation processes of the defense acquisition programs. It relies heavily on the work breakdown structure and the program organizational structure of the defense acquisition programs.
In this paper, we review the concept and techniques of EVMS, and suggest an application of the cost-schedule integrated management technique in the defense acquisition programs.
