The awareness on admission officer system has been inquired through survey targeting teachers from specialized vocational high schools in Daejeon/Chungcheong area. In the aspect of teachers' understanding of admission officer system, domestic and overseas training level in relation to admission officer system was rather low, the understanding on the admission officer system was also somewhat low, and they were expecting that it would change the reality of results-oriented education. In the aspect of opinions on the selective admission of specialized vocational high school graduates to universities, it was thought that selection of 5% from specialized vocational high school graduates other than the prescribed admittance number satisfies the students' desire for entering universities and that the appropriate ratio of entering universities is 60% or less. Entering universities within 3 years of high school graduation and admission officer system were considered adequate for selecting specialized vocational high school graduates for admittance. The existing screening method for university entrance was perceived to be inadequate to evaluate the abilities of specialized vocational high school students, and it was judged to be adequate to evaluate the basic vocational abilities in the screening by the admission officer system. In addition, the most adequate elements for evaluating the basic common education in relation to vocation were thought to be the basic vocational ability examination, the basic learning ability, curriculum learning ability, scholastic ability test required for university education, and character/aptitude test, to name in order of importance.

대전․충청 지역 특성화고 교사를 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 입학사정관제에 대한 인식을 조사하였다. 교사의 입학사정관 전형에 대한 이해 측면에서 입학사정관 전형관련 교내․외 연수는 매우 낮았고 입학사정관 전형에 관한 이해 정도가 낮은 편이었으며, 성적 위주 교육 현실을 변화시킬 수 있으리라 기대하고 있었다. 특성화고 출신자의 대학 선발 제도에 대한 견해 측면에서 대학 정원 외 5% 특성화고 출신자 전형이 학생들의 진학 욕구를 충족하고 적절한 진학률은 60%이하로 생각하고 있었다. 고교 졸업 후 3년 이내 대학진학과 입학사정관 전형이 특성화고 출신자를 선발하는 데 적절하다고 보고 있었다. 기존 대입전형 방식이 특성화고 학생들의 능력을 평가하기에 부적합하다고 인식하고 있었고, 입학사정관제 전형에서 직업기초능력을 평가하는 것이 적절하다고 판단하였다. 그리고 직업관련 기본 공통 교육을 평가하기에 가장 적합한 평가 요소로서 직업기초능력 평가가 가장 적절하고 그 다음으로는 학업기초능력, 학생부교과능력, 대학교육에필요한수학능력, 인적성평가(능력) 순으로 생각하고 있었다.
