唐代 <破陣樂> 연구 - 太宗ㆍ高宗ㆍ玄宗 시기를 중심으로
The Study of <Music of Pazin(破陣樂)> in Tang Dynasty (唐代)-Focused on the times of Taejung太宗ㆍGojung高宗ㆍHyungjung玄宗 당대 <파진악> 연구 - 태종ㆍ고종ㆍ현종 시기를 중심으로
The purpose of this study is to explore the creative background of which was reported that adopted along with in Sejong time and its phased evolution depending on times since then. The original was initially created by army in the form of a martial song but it was combined later with a dance music of which was created by Taejung and then transformed to . The music of was structured according to 'Palzindo(八陣圖)' of which formation was based on 'Munwangpalgwaedo(文王八卦圖)' and it was designed that 120 dancers were changing their positions 3 times to the magnificent sound of drum of Guga-ac(龜玆樂) and making 4 types of formations of which front line was battle formation and back was marching in the form of zigzagging and straight[先偏後伍, 魚麗鵝鸛] and they jumped from the ground with the hands straight up(發揚蹈麗), and moved up and down with mixed each other(交錯屈伸), and danced with hit and poke motions(撃刺往來) saying 'Jinwang Pazin Music'. The form of was also reflected on the grand music in Gojung period and it was the reflection of his ambition to invade Koguyea. After then, it was also changed to at Hyunjong time in which it became the symbol of Hyunjong's accomplishments. Therefore, it could be concluded that was created to applaud Taejong's accomplishments, but later then it was politically used to admire each emperor's accomplishment at Gojong and Hyunjong periods.

본고의 목적은 朝鮮 世宗 대에 <定大業>의 창작 과정에서 영향을 준 것으로 전하는, 唐代 <破陣樂>의 창작 배경과 시기 및 시대에 따른 변천 양상을 분석하는 것이다. 군사들에 의해 군가 형식으로 창작된 최초의 <파진악>은 唐 太宗이 직접 만든 <破陣樂舞圖>를 바탕으로 歌ㆍ舞ㆍ樂이 하나 된 大曲 <파진악[七德舞]>으로 거듭난다. 대곡 <파진악>은 ‘文王八卦圖’에 따라 배치된 ‘八陣圖’를 바탕으로 한 진세를 기본으로 하여 120명의 무용수들이 북소리가 웅장한 龜玆樂의 음악에 맞춰, 發揚蹈麗ㆍ交錯屈伸ㆍ撃刺往來하며 ‘秦王破陣樂’이라 화답했으며, 앞은 전투마차이고 뒤는 군대 행렬로 관진법과 아진법의 전투 형태[先偏後伍, 魚麗鵝鸛]에서 세 차례 변하고 매번 네 가지의 진세로 변하는 음운이 강개[聲韻慷慨]한 유형의 대곡이다. 고종 시기의 <一戎大定樂>은 <파진악>의 형상을 답습한 것이지만 고구려 침략을 기치로 한 고종의 욕망을 담았다고 할 수 있으며, 현종시기의 <小破陣樂>은 현종의 업적을 상징하는 것으로 변모되었다. 결국 당 태종의 업적을 칭송하기 위해 창작되었던 <파진악>은, 고종의 욕망과 현종의 업적을 드러내는 정치적 수단으로 쓰였다.
