In this study, the difference in personal interest and situational interest with demographic characteristics of university students majoring in dance was verified. As a result of difference in interest with school year, while there was statistically significant difference in positive studying environment factor of situational interest. It was shown that the interest generally increases with decreasing school year. As a result of difference in interest with major, there was statistically significant difference in only cognitive desire factor of personal interest, post-hoc test shows the majors in ballet have higher cognitive desire than the majors in korean dance in case of personal interest, and the majors in korean dance have higher participating activity than the majors in modern dance in case of situational interest. As a result of difference in interest with number of times for the dance class, there was statistically significant difference in all factors of personal interest and situational interest. From this result, it was confirmed that all factors of personal interest and situational interest become higher with increasing number of times for the dance class. Lastly, as a result of difference in interest with dance career, there was statistically significant difference in only cognitive desire factor of personal interest, and it was remarkable that the interest of students with dance career less than 3 years was the highest. Accordingly, the results of this study imply that it enhances the interest in dance class and promotes studying motivation of the students by considering individual characteristics of the students and applying it to teaching-learning strategy in educational field.

본 연구에서는 연구대상자들의 일반적 특성에 따른 개인적 흥미와 상황적 흥미 요인에 대한 인식에 차이가 있는지를 알아보았다. 학년, 전공, 횟수, 경력에 따른 흥미에 대한 차이를 분석한 결과, 개인적 흥미에서는 모든 요인에서 학년에 따른 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않았고 전반적으로 저학년일수록 참여적 활동으로 인한 흥미를 많이 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 전공에 따른 개인적 흥미에서는 인지적 욕구 요인에서만 유의미한 차이를 보였는데, 사후검정 결과 특히, 발레전공자들이 한국무용전공자들에 비해 높은 인지적 욕구 수준을 보였으며, 상황적 흥미에서는 한국무용 전공자들이 현대무용 전공자들에 비해 참여적 활동을 통해 무용에 대한 흥미를 많이 느끼고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 무용수업 횟수에 따른 개인적 흥미, 상황적 흥미 모든 요인에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 이를 통해 무용수업 빈도가 높은 학생일수록 개인적 흥미, 상황적 흥미 요인 모두가 높다는 것을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 무용경력에 따른 개인적 흥미에서는 인지적 욕구 요인에서만 유의미한 차이를 보였는데, 무용경력이 가장 짧은 3년 미만의 학생들이 가장 높게 나타난 것이 특징으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과는 무용수업에 있어서 학생들의 수업흥미를 높이는 동시에 학생의 개별적 특성을 고려해학교 현장에서의 교수-학습전략에 효과적으로 적용함으로써 학생들의 학습동기를 촉진시킬 수 있음을 시사해준다.
