The purpose of this study is finding ways to improve the quality of service in caregivers by analyzing the influences the service quality of specialty awareness for caregivers in senior caregiver facilities. In order to accomplish the purpose, a structured survey targeting 149 caregivers who are engaged in senior caregiver facilities in Joenju area and the results from the survey are followed. First, 92.6% of the respondents were women, 53.0% were in their forties and 28.9% were aged over fifties. Second, the differences in specialties and service qualities were corresponded similar to the numbers of seniors who are working in the facilities and the daily average number of the cared seniors. Third, the specialty of caregiver and the service quality showed to have a static correlation overall. In other words, better specialties ensure the more improved quality of facility service. Forth, the specialty of caregivers affects belief on public service that is lower variable of specialty while sense of the Calling to the Field affects the service quality and the explanation capability is exhibited 62.8%. Fifth, the service quality influenced most on reliability that is the lowest variable in overall variables and responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangible are affected partially. As indicated above, the need of specialty of service provided in the caregiver facilities is brought to the surface.

본 연구의 목적은 노인전문요양기관의 노인에 대한 서비스를 직접적으로 수행하는 요양보호사의 전문성 인식수준이 요양보호사가 제공하는 서비스 질에는 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 알아보는데 있다. 연구결과 요양보호사의 근무환경적 요인에서 기관의 어르신들 수와 요양보호사의 활동시간에 따라 전문성과 서비스 질에 영향을 주고 있다. 또한 요양보호사의 전문성인식이 높을수록 서비스 질에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 전문성의 하위변수인 공공 서비스에 대한 신념과, 소명의식이 서비스 질 향상에 영향을 주고 있다.
