This paper studies on the a set of transformation picture of Lotus Sutra(妙法蓮華經) copied of Chinese Q'ing Dynasty(淸代), consisted of 7 volumes, housed in the National Palace Museum of Taiwan. We cannot but pay attention to the fact that, although it was made as late as in Q'ing China, it is almost of the same style with that of a set of Lotus Sutra, consisted of 7 volumes, published in the 12th year of King Chungsuk(忠肅王, 1325) of Korean Goryeo Dynasty, now possessed by Haga-ji Temple(羽賀寺), Japan. Further, it partly shares the same style with 󰡔Lotus Sutra󰡕 copied in the 1st year of Zhishun(至順元年, 1330) of Yuan(元) China, possessed by the National Palace Museum of Taiwan, for which we should not make light of it only because it was copied during Q'ing China, but attach considerable importance on it. Accordingly, I compared the two transformation pictures, that housed in the National Palace Museum of Taiwan and that possessed by Haga-ji Temple, Japan, to find that, in case of picture of preaching sermon towards the right, arrangement and number of followers, category and number of audience, canopy and decoration of buildings are slightly different, and, in case of delivering stories towards the left, the style is almost the same, except for the themes which differs slightly each other. As a result this study, I could confirm clearly that sutra copying of Yuan China conducted by the monks of Goryeo maintained its tradition throughout Ming(明) and Q'ing China.

본 논문은 臺灣 國立故宮博物院 소장 淸代寫經인 『妙法蓮華經󰡕』 7권본 1부 사경변상화에 대한 연구이다. 이 사경은 청대에 제작된 것임에도 불구하고 고려사경인 충숙왕 12년(1325) 羽賀寺本 『妙法蓮華經』 7권본 1부와 거의 같은 양식을 보이고 있어 주목하지 않을 수 없다. 뿐만 아니라 至順元年(1330)에 寫成된 元代寫經인 臺灣 國立故宮博物院 소장 『妙法蓮華經』과도 부분적으로 유사한 양식을 보이고 있어 청대사경이라 하여 간과할 수 없는 중요한 자료이다. 이에 故宮博物院本 사경변상화와 羽賀寺本 사경변상화를 비교․분석한 결과 向右 說法圖의 경우 眷屬의 배치나 수, 혹은 聽聞衆의 종류와 수, 天蓋와 전각의 표현 등에서 조금씩 차이를 보이고, 向左 說話圖의 경우 주제선택에 있어서 약간의 차이를 보이지만 거의 동일한 형식을 이루고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이 사경을 통해 고려 寫經僧에 의해 제작된 元代寫經이 이후 明․淸代를 거치면서 계속 그 맥을 이어갔다는 것을 충분히 짐작할 수 있었다.
