The purpose of this study was to activate the private education as the one of the educational capitals through reconsideration in terms of the Andragogy. The private education has been perceived as the obstacle to interrupt the normalization of the education in Korean society. It also has been perceived that the harmful consequences of freakish cost-increase for the private education was caused to the huge educational problem internally and externally. The policies of education from the Korean government has been focused to hold back the private education because they also perceived as the emergence problem for the future.
However if we reconsidered the private education in terms of the Andragogical epistemology, it has been possible to suggest with new perspective related to the definition of the private education and the whether or not the government interfered by the policies. On the contrary, based on the Andragogical epistemology, the private education could be the one of the important factors for activating educational capitals for the erudition of all. Therefore, the researcher insisted that the activating, not interfering or controlling, private education as the factor of the educational capitals can be advance the possibility to update the Korean educational system.

본 연구의 목적은 최근 우리 교육의 가장 큰 문젯거리로 등장한 사교육을 안드라고지적 재고(再考)를 통해 오히려 교육적 경쟁력을 갖는 교육자본의 한 형태로 활성화 하고자함을 그 목적으로 하였다. 사교육은 우리 교육의 정상화를 가로막는 장애물이자 애물단지로 취급되어져 왔다. 사교육비의 기형적 증가로 인한 폐해는 교육 내ㆍ외적으로 대단하다고 인식되어져 왔다. 그래서 우리 교육의 정상화를 위해서는 사교육을 단죄해야 한다고 단순 인과론적으로 인식되어 왔다. 국가교육정책 역시 사교육비 경감을 가장 시급한 문제로 주목하고, 정책적 단죄를 실시해왔다. 그러나 사교육에 관한 이러한 비난을 인간 배움의 원형인 안드라고지적으로 재고해보면 그 인식/탐구론적으로 새로운 문제의 제기가 가능해진다. 즉 사교육의 개념적인 인식의 문제와 국가가 개인의 배움을 통제 또는 책임질 수 있는지 여부의 문제의 제기가 가능해진다. 인간의 배움을 위해서 는 ‘그 무엇이든 좋다’는 안드라고지적 인식론에 근거하면 사교육은 인간교육을 위한 중요한 교육자본임을 알 수 있다. 그러기에 사교육의 통제 또는 억제가 아닌 활성화는 한국교육이 다시 한 번 새롭게 발전적인 전기를 맞이할 수 있는 가능성을 제시할 수 있음을 본 연구를 통해 주장하였다.
