Called JeJu woman diver called it, and the person appeared with colonial policy in the Japanese imperialism times. JeJu woman diver which we use commonly is a meaning different from woman diver which I used before a thing of the Japanese empire times now. It is words to point at woman diver which consisted of only a woman appearing as a new occupation in a course of the modernization of JeJu Island.
JeJu woman diver went into Japan to gain money in the Japanese empire times. In those days, they contributed so as to support half of the economy of JeJu Island.
However, the numbers decrease to 5,000 people now and are in state that there may not be it soon.
Therefore about their value it is necessary to think newly. Therefore, this report is going to investigate the situation by a formation process of such JeJu woman diver and an advance process to Japan. I intend to set value and recognition of JeJu woman diver newly thereby. And I am going to show a method storing their significance of being.
This report is partial approach about JeJu woman diver, but wants to help it for right evaluation about JeJu woman diver and a save and the succession of JeJu woman diver in the future as a result of this.
