- Regional cooperation is an important theme of tourism development these days, as a strategic measure to realize resource share, mutual complementarities, interactive marketing and common development. The competition between different regions has entered into a new stage – regional competition. In the process of regional tourism cooperation in the region of Northeast Asian countries, Korea, China, and Japan have displayed incomparable vigor and superiority. The three cities of Seoul, Beijing, and Tokyo in this area have become the most developed tourism region and the clustering region of tourism industry. However, global economy has been entering the stage of localization. Under this background, the question of how to deepen the regional tourism cooperation continuously in the region of Northeast Asia countries has become the hot issue discussed in various domains. This paper discusses the regional tourism competition and cooperation in the region of Northeast Asia countries.

- 지금까지 관광분야는 지역경쟁시대에서 최근 관광자원 공유, 상호보완, 공동개발 및 마케팅 등 지역관광개발에 있어서 지역관광협력은 매우 중요한 이슈로 등장하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 동북아시아의 지역관광개발에 있어서 경쟁과 협력에 대하여 지역협력모형을 바탕으로 한국, 중국 및 일본 간 관광 협력관계를 분석하고 향후 발전방안을 제시하였다. 또한 지금까지 한국, 중국 및 일본은 관광산업에서 서로 경쟁에만 초점을 두어왔지만, 향후 상호발전을 위해 관광클러스터 구축을 통한 지역관광 협력관계를 심화시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

- 본 학회는 2003년부터 동북아 경상연구회의 회원들을 중심으로 동북아 지역의 학회참석을 계기로 한중일 관광학회의 중요성을 인식하게 되었습니다. 특히 우리와 인접국인 일본, 중국의 동북아 지역은 관광인적교류에서 중요한 국가이며, 상대국 또한 그 중요성을 간과할 수 없는 현실입니다. 따라서 본 학회는 한중일 3국에 학회지부회를 두어 3국의 학자들을 중심으로 관광연구를 활성화하는데 있습니다. 본 학회의 사업내용을 보면, 첫째, 연2회 이상 학술발표회를 개최합니다. 특히, 학술발표회는 동북아지역의 인적교류확대방안, 동북아지역의 산관학의 협력강화방안에 관한 사업 내용을 중심으로 연구발표회를 개최합니다. 둘째, 동북아지역의 연구자들을 중심으로 한국어, 영어, 중국어, 일어를 사용한 동북아 관광연구저널을 연 2회 이상 발행하여 동북아지역의 국제저널로서의 위상정립을 합니다. 셋째, 한,중,일 우수연구자의 저서를 상대국언어로 번역출판하며 한,중,일 연구자들을 중심으로 전문저서를 공동저술 합니다.
