This study focuses on implications of the contextual pragmatics between global ethics and meditation. Meditation practice has a long history of healing spirituality of human being. In inner yoga meditation practice, it focuses on more subtle and minute mutual communication. In this solidarity samadhi state, the meditator can cultivate public common citizenship through meditation. From the practical viewpoint, this study explores the possibilities of implementation of meditation as a trans-versal mediation toward solidarity and awareness of consciousness. It can fulfill not mystical vision and super power but awareness of world citizenship and freedom from national citizenship. It would cultivate solidarity value of global ethics to live on desirable life as world citizenship free from karmic force. It focuses on the deep interconnection between self and others, which can be experienced directly by disciplined attention to the communicative sensations, and that continuously interconnect condition the life of the other mind. The question for meditation can be divided into Invocation of dharma topic and Inquiry mutual insight. It is a way of self-awareness through self-observation and introspection. The aim of dharma topic invocation is the abolition of past karmic force and rediscovery of world citizenship as intermediatory subjectivity. It could help to reach global citizenship consciousness to practice the tolerance toward the others. It can contribute desirable life as world citizenship to practice tolerance to be free from agnosic circulation life. In meditation practice, intermediatory consciousness practice can calm the mind, awareness can reveal how the mind was disturbed to start with, which leads to prajñā(Pāli). Regarding this fact, it is essentially non-sectarian in character and has universal application toward world citizenship. We can conclude it is possible to make a contributing life of world citizenship through public communication and tolerance to contribute human freedom, hope and conviviality.

세계윤리교육에서 도덕적 특수맥락에 기울게 되면 이기주의, 분파주의, 구획주의 등의 결과를 초래한다. 보편성을 지나치게 강조하면 윤리적 사고의 획일화를 야기할 수 있다. 따라서 맥락화용의 방법으로 보편과 특수의 긴장관계를 상통시켜 세계시민성 함양에 기여하면서 생명존엄을 살려낼 필요가 있다. 이제까지 세계시민성에 관련된 대부분의 논의들은 이러한 긴장관계를 간과한 채 보편성 논증과 특수성 논증 가운데 특정 관점에 경도되어 이루어진 것이 현실이다. 그 결과 세계시민성의 토대와 방향에 있어서 보편성, 또는 특수성에 사로잡혀 지역 간 국가 간 세계 간의 사이를 이어주고 매개하는 노력이 제대로 이루어지지 못하였다. 이에 대한 대안으로 세계윤리의 보편성과 명상의 특수성을 횡단매개하는 가운데 맥락화용의 ‘공공 시민성’(public common citizenship)과 ‘깊은 시민성’(deep citizenship) 함양을 진단하고자 한다. 이와 같이 지구촌의 세계시민성의 함양을 위하여 ‘줄탁동시’(啐啄同時)의 교육방법을 통한 세계윤리와 명상문화의 맥락화용이 요청된다. 윤리교육에서 명상문화의 특수맥락을 세계윤리와 화용함으로써 자아, 타자, 그리고 세계의 상호 연계성과 상호 의존성을 깨닫는 가운데 타자와의 공감능력을 확충할 수 있다. 이처럼 특수성에서 출발하여 요가명상을 통한 연대성과 화두참선을 통한 관용성의 함양으로 세계시민성과 화용하는 가운데 국가시민성을 초월하여 세계시민으로서 자각하고 책임지는 역량을 배양시킬 수 있다. 이처럼 세계윤리와 명상의 맥락화용은 구성주의 관점에서 지구촌의 세계시민성으로서 공공 시민성과 깊은 시민성을 일깨우는 데 기여하게 될 것이다. 이와 같이 공공 시민성과 깊은 시민성이 확보하게 되면, 개별 국가내의 시민 사회와 이들 사이의 국제적 연대를 보다 활성화시키면서 국가사이를 능동적으로 횡단매개하는 가운데 의식공간을 세계로 확장시킬 수 있을 것이다. 명상문화와 화용을 통해 구성주의 관점에서 세계시민성에 접근하여 인류의 자유와 소망, 그리고 공공가치에 접근하는 방안을 새롭게 마련할 수 있다.
