This study was performed for the purpose of analyzing the university efficiency of funding project as governmental finance support system for differentiated university by using DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis). The relative efficiency of university was analyzed by applying some data in 2008 Funding Project data on University in Metropolitan Statistics' by Government. DEA model was used totally 7 input variables and 5 output variables. The results of this study are as follows; First, Funding project is continued to be relative efficiency of university. Second, it is necessity to use input and output variables related the efficiency to match with the purpose of funding project as governmental finance. Third, The result of analyzing the university efficiency by using DEA should not uniformly applied to each type of university. Data envelopment analysis is more appropriate for consulting for enhancing the efficiency than comparative evaluation.

본 연구는 DEA(자료포락분석)을 활용하여 수도권 대학특성화 선정사업단의 상대적 효율성을 분석하였다. DEA 분석모형에는 투입변수 7개와 산출변수 5개로 총 12개의 변수가 사용되었다. 분석대상은 전체 68개 사업단 중에서 23개 사업단을 대상으로 하였고, 자료는 교육과학기술부를 통해서 수집한 자료 중 2008년도 자료를 활용하였다. DEA 기법을 활용하여 수도권 특성화사업 선정대학의 전반적인 효율치 분포를 확인하고, 효율적․비효율적 사업단의 특성 등을 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정부의 재정지원 사업의 지속성이 선정사업단의 효율성을 높이는 데 기여할 수 있다. 둘째, 향후 정부의 재정지원 사업을 선정할 때, 효율성과 밀접한 관련이 있는 변수의 활용을 검토해볼 수 있다. 셋째, 비효율적인 사업단의 효율성을 높이기 위해서는 선정사업단의 특성을 고려해서 접근할 필요가 있다.
