The purpose of this study was to examine the structural model equation based on a causal relationship among career exploration behavior, level of career decision, decision-making style, salience of dance role, dance identity, and dance socialization variables, but was also to offer the basic data in order to understand specific characteristics of career, and provide academic and career counseling for the university students who are majoring dance. The students on 39 universities with dance curriculum were set as a population, and then 1360 students of samples were selected by stratified duster random sampling. 1232 students of samples were chosen for the final analysis. The data collected from the test was analyzed by analysis of covariance structure with SPSS 12.1+ program and AMOS 5.0. The conclusions of this study were as follows. First the socialization of dance has an positive effect on the dance identity and the salience of role learning of dance. Second, the dance identity has an positive effect on the style of career decision making. Third, the salience of role learning of dance has an positive effect on the level of career decision making. Fourth, the style of career decision making has an effect on the level of career decision making, but the other hand, it has an negative effect on career-search behavior Fifth, the level of career decision making has an positive effect on career exploration behavior.

본 연구는 무용전공 대학생을 대상으로 무용사회화， 무용정체성， 무용역할현저성， 의사결정유형， 진로의사결정， 진로탐색행동 변인들 간의 인과관계를 기초로 구조모형 방정식을 설정하고 이를 실증적으로 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 통하여 무용전공 대학생이 지니고 있는 진로탐색행동의 특성을 이해하고 나아가 이들의 실제 진로준비 및 진로지도에 도움이 될 수 있도록 기초 자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 2006년 현재 무용관련 학과나 전공이 설치되어 있는 전국의 4년제 대학 39개교에 재학중인 무용전공 학생을 모집단으로 선정한 다음， 전국을 5개권역으로 나누어 유층집락무선표집법을 이용， 총 1360명을 표집하였으며 최종분석에 사용된 사례수는 1,232명이었다. 수집된 자료는 연구문제의 성격에 따라 SPSS PC+와 AMOS 5.0을 이용， 다양한 통계분석기법을 활용하여 분석되었다. 자료분석을 위하여 사용된 통계분석기법은 상관관계분석과 공변량구조분석이었다. 이와 같은 과정을 통하여 얻어진 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째， 무용사회화는 무용정체성과 무용역할현저성에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 둘째， 무용정체성은 진로의사결정유형에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 셋째， 무용역할현저성은 진로결정수준에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 넷째， 진로의사결정유형은 진로결정수준에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 반면， 진로탐 색행동에는 부정적인 영향을 미친다. 다섯째， 진로결정수준은 진로탐색행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다.
