In this paper, I focused on how the literary criticism used the flower as an ancillary concept. I also figured out the aspect of the literary criticism with flower, and checked the reason for such criticism in the view of the intelligent history(way of thinking) and the cultural history(background).
Even though the characteristic of the observation on flower in the 18th and 19th centuries was in the field of the study of things and nature(格物), the goal of gaining knowledge(致知) was not just understanding of nature and self-discipline. Also the method of thinking was out of deductive logic. The observation on the ecology of flower used the method of differentiation(微分) that differentiate the individual form or the process of the physical change inside individual. Thus the critic of Kwanghanrugi(t廣寒樓記t) discussed the novel aesthetics, and Park Ji-won(朴趾源), Lee Duck-mu(李德懋), Lee Ok(李鈺) discussed the existence of literature, the principle of the creation, the diversity of the style of writing, and the problem of their time.

이 글은 꽃이 한문학비평의 보조관념으로서 어떻게 사용되는지에 주목하였다.
꽃을 보조관념으로 사용한 비평의 양상을 살펴보는 동시에 그러한 비평이 행해진 이유를 지성사(사유방식) 및 문화사(배경)의 관점에서도 확인해 보고자 하였다. 18․19세기에 보이는 꽃에 대한 관찰과 사유의 특징은, 그것 자체는 格物의 영역 안에 있는 것이지만 致知의 도달점을 세계의 근본적인 원리에 대한 이해와 개인의 수신에만 두지 않았으며, 그 사고의 방법 역시 演繹的인데서 어느 정도 벗어났다는 점에 있다. 꽃의 생태를 관찰하고 사유할 때 대개는 공통적으로 개체 간의 형태 또는 개체 내부의 물리적인 형태나 변화가 진행되는 과정을 잘게 잘라보는 微分의 방법을 사용했다. 이로써 t廣寒樓記u의 평비자는 소설 구성의 창작미학과 수용미학을, 朴趾源․李德懋․李鈺은 문학의 존재와 창작의 원리, 문체의 다양성과 시대의 문제에 대해 논하였다.
