This study surveyed 305 companies for development of agricultural food processing industries in Jeonnam east region. This paper analyzed systematically the characteristics and the problems of the regional food industries. It is in order to suggest the development for export and worldwide industrialization of this companies. The problems of agricultural and food industries in Jeonnam eastern region are sales shortage, domestic raw material supply system, facilities decrepit and environmental change, etc. It needs to make more effective organization, value added tax deduction for usage of domestic products, modernization of facilities, support for R & D, manage and marketing consulting, etc.

이 연구는 전남 동부지역 농식품가공산업의 문제를 해결하기 위하여 현장 305개 업체를 전수 조사하였다. 이 조사 결과를 토대로 지역 농식품산업의 특성과 문제를 체계적으로 분석했고, 이들 업체들의 국내 판매 및 수출 활성화 방안 등을 연구하였다. 전남 동부지역 농식품산업의 문제는 판매 부진, 지역 내 원료조달의 문제, 가공시설 노후화, 환경변화에 대한 대응력 부족 등이 나타났다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 농식품가공산업의 보다 효율적인 조직화, 국산 농산물 원자재에 대한 부가가치세 면세, 시설현대화, 연구개발 지원, 적극적인 경영과 마케팅컨설팅 지원 등이 필요하다.
