Bollnow defined the religious analysis as “the recognition of what to be unable to estimate”. He simply didn’t try to grasp the notion of religion from a philosophical view, but showed the serious trouble about which role the religion indeed performed in the past, how in the present it is performing, and which role it must perform in the future. Bollnow himself mentioned not to be bound by the specific religion for such trouble, but we can realize that he was already affected by Christian thought through the languages expressed in his hermeneutics. Bollnow’s thought took on a way of anthropological inquiry based on the trust of human. “The natural forming faith”, that is, “the piety for being” is the religion standing in the faith, hope, and awe of transcendence which is the immanent being of existence. Through this religious notion, Bollnow strongly expressed that human is not the being be bound by the past and also by the present, but the religious being opening to the future. Thus human discovers the possibility of future growth from the past, is the being called into the truth leaving the specific religion toward the future and living the present as the chosen being for taking the responsibility. On this point, the science of religion in his hermeneutics shows human finiteness and limitation in the faithless age believing in the science absolutely, gives hope more developmental future through the recognition of the immeasurable and insoluble existence.

인간은 로고스를 가진 존재로서 학문에 관하여 자기 동료와 함께 유용한 것과 해로운 것, 선과 악 종교와 비종교 그리고 하나님의 존재성에 대하여 교육적으로 의사소통할 수 있는 존재이다. 볼르노는 학문적인 대화에서 이성을 가진 인간이 철학적인 삶을 의미 있게 해석하는 가운데 다양한 물음과 인식을 통하여 인간의 존재 근거와 존재 신앙에 대하여 물음을 제기한다. 본 논문은 이러한 인간의 존재 의미들을 학문적인 관계 속에서 연구 되었으며 특히 해석학과 종교학의 관계성 속에서 그의 교육사상을 고찰 하였다. 그러므로 그의 신앙교육적인 가치들을 해석학적인 관점에서의 종교와 종교학적인 관점에서의 해석학적인 관계를 다룸으로써 기독교신앙 안에서 인간 이해를 학대 해석하는데 본 논문의 의미를 두고자 한다.
