A tale of Nature and Men in Primorsky Krai(Maritime Province of Russia) Kim, Chul-Kyun This article compares two texts: V. Arseniev's record of exploration into The Far east area Dersu Uzala and Kusosawa Akira's film Dersu Uzala, which based in Arseniev's work. In his work Arseniev attempts to combine the different genres: he makes a literary narrative using the material of nonfiction that he got from his travel to Primrosky Krai in Russia. His narrative shows us, that human is a member of ecosystem, and his life is impossible outside of nature. Kurosawa Akira, the most famous movie director of Japan, makes another narrative on the base of Arseniev's work Dersu Uzala. His Film also puts emphasis on the importance of Ecosystem. But there are obvious differences between ecological ideas of two artists. Kurosawa, as a oriental, man starts with a Buddhist point of view on Nature. In his narrative he says, that everything is closely connected each other.
