Recently, Gim and Kim (2008a) presented the following research outcomes concerned with some problems of the Input-Output (IO) model: (1) the general relation between two different notions of direct and indirect input requirements in the open static IO model, (2) the decomposition by factors in the Leontief inverse (or output requirements matrix for final demand) , and (3) the building of a new Output-Output (OO) model without having the overestimation and consecutive connection problems. While the IO model can be characterized as a system that relates final demand to gross output , the newly developed OO model relates gross output for final demand (endogenous or exogenous) to final output for output (endogenous) . On the basis of the latest research findings above, the specific objectives of this paper can be summarized as follows. (1) We estimate the economic effects, which are based on final output (), employment (), and income () by sector, affected on the Daegu-Gyeong region for the lack of water on the ground of the analysis of induced effects through󰡒the Output-Output model.󰡓(2) We grope for the policy implications and preparations for water supply constraints because of various conditions such as wars, terrors, strikes, natural disasters, and frequent water pollution accidents in the Nakdong River basin.

대구ㆍ경북지방의 연강수량의 특징, 새로운 “산출․산출모형”의 개발 등을 토대로 다음과 같은 연구 목적을 설정하고자 한다. (1) 대경지역의 물 부족 특히 수돗물 공급제한 등에 따른 각종 부문별 파급효과를 추계하는 데 있다. (2) 산출계수행렬()과 산출물에 대한 생산유발계수행렬() 등을 통한 여러 종류의 유발효과를 분석하고자 한다. (3) 상수 공급제한이 지역경제에 미치는 제반 파급효과를 통하여 수돗물 공급 중단에 대처하는 정책적 함의와 대비책을 강구하고자 한다. 대경지역 “산출․산출모형”의 개발을 위한 기본 자료는『2003년 산업연관표』와『2003년 지역산업연관표』(한국은행, 2007)로 하였다. 내생부문의 부문분류는 수도부문을 별도로 하여 29 통합 대분류 체계로 되어 있다. 역행렬을 통하여 수돗물 공급제한이 3단계로 나누어 시행되어질 때에 대경지역 전 내생부문에 미치는 최종산출, 고용, 소득, 수출, 수입 등에 미치는 감소효과를 각각 추계하였다. 상수공급 제한이 10%(제1단계)일 때 18 수도부문의 최종산출은 11.8%, 고용은 17명, 소득은 4.9% 각각 감소하게 된다.
