This study was conducted to investigate the trend of the shapes, materials, colors and gathering methods of bridal bouquet for the period 2008. 9～2009. 6. These data were collected from 163 pictures of wedding bouquet mainly used in Seoul city, Gyeonggi
province and Cheonan area. Round style was very popular(93.2%) and cascade comes next(4.9%). The gathering methods of bridal bouquet was indicated this order : the bouquet holder(83.4%)>natural stem(11.6%)>wring(0.5%). Rosa hybrida(87.1%) were predominantly used as a main flower in the bridal bouquet and Peonia(4.9%) was the next. The secondry flowers used for bridal bouquet were Eustoma grandflora(23%), Dianthus caryophllus(16.9%) and Oxypetalum caeruleum(11.8%) in order. The cut folliage used for bridal bouquet accounts for 24.5% in the total number. Hedera helix was the most popular plant among them. The most popular color of bridal bouquet was the mix of pink & white(38.6%) while single white was 14.1%.

본 연구 조사는 2008년 9월부터 2009년 6월 사이에 신부화의 형태와 소재, 색상, 제작 방법을 조사하였다. 서울과 경기 그리고 수도권 지역으로 볼 수 있는 천안 지역의 웨딩홀과 호텔 등 결혼식이 이루어지는 곳을 방문하여 촬영한 163개의 신부화를 대상으로 하였다. 가장 많이 사용된 신부화의 형태는 원형이 93.2%, 폭포형 4.9%이었다. 제작 방식은 부케 홀더에 꽂은 신부화가 83.4%이고, 자연 줄기의 이용이 11.6% 그리고 와이어링이 0.5%이었다. 신부화에 이용된 주 절화 소재는 장미 87.1%, 작약 4.9%로 장미가 압도적이었다. 부 절화 소재는 리시안더스 23.0%, 스프레이 카네이션 16.9%, 옥시페탈럼(oxypetalum) 11.8%의 순이었다. 절지는 전체 중 24.5%만이 사용했으며, 그 중 아이비가 가장 많이 이용되었다. 색상 유형은 흰색과 분홍색의 혼합이 38.6%이었고, 흰색이 14.1%로 나타났다.
