This study described regarding the proofreading performed from the initial stage of preparing a manuscript until the final printing to publish an individual collection. Since the publication of collections were made by the descendents and the literary followers of the author after his death, it took quite a long time to collect, edit and proofread the literary works. Especially for the collection of prominent authors, the publication was led by Confusian scholars rather than several specific individuals to get public opinion, since the collection made a big impact on the society after the publication. The proofreaders who participated in this proofreading were literary men or the persons who had social intercourse with the author and the literary works included in the collection by them were made into an original manuscript after the process of addition, deletion and correction of the content through a lot of discussion. Noting on such facts, this study investigated the process of making an original manuscript for actual publication of collection through the proofreading process on the manuscripts of Daesan Lee Sangjeong's collection, and the method of proofreading instructions through the manuscript proof of SuweolIlgo and the proof sheets of NuljaeJip.

이 연구는 조선시대 개인문집의 간행을 위한 원고의 마련에서부터 최종인출이 이루어지기 까지 이루어진 교정에 관한 것이다. 문집의 간행은 저자 사후에 후손과 문인들에 의해 이루어 졌기 때문에 저술을 수집하고 편집과 교정에는 오랜 시간이 소요되었다. 특히 저명한 이들의 문집은 출판된 후에 사회에 미치는 영향이 컸기 때문에 몇몇 개인에 의해 이루어진 것이 아니라 公論을 얻기 위해 유림이 간행을 주도했다. 이 과정에 참여한 교정자는 문인이나 저자와 평소 교유했던 이들이며, 이들에 의해 많은 토론과 합의를 통한 내용의 추가와 삭제ㆍ수정을 거쳐 정본이 마련되었다. 따라서 이 연구는 이러한 점에 주목하여 실제로 문집간행을 위해 정본이 마련되는 과정을 대산 이상정 문집의 원고 교정을 통하여 살펴보았고, 󰡔수월일고󰡕의 원고교정본과 󰡔눌재집󰡕의 교정쇄를 통하여 교정지시 방법을 살펴보았다.
