In this paper, I will reinterpret Wang, Yangming's Philosophy of Education and Education Method in modern context. Wang were eager to reform contemporary social system of Ming dynasty, especially he sought to clear the way for new education at that point when some elements of Capitalism occurred in China. Wang were skeptical about traditional intellectualism in philosophy of education, and more emphasized practice and practical use, such as technology education, than a gain to knowledge. Wang's philosophy of education was based on parallelism between theory and practice. Wang's education method, similar to that of Confucius, included use of affective teaching method and transition from Virtue-centered education to Practice-centered education.

이 논문은 왕양명의 교육사상과 교육방법을 현대적 관점에서 재조명해보고자 하는 데에 목적을 두고 작성되었다. 왕양명은 중국 명대 사상가로서 개혁의 의지를 갖고 있었으며, 특히 자본주의의 맹아가 싹트는 시점에서 교육의 새로운 활로를 모색하였다는 점에서 그 의미를 찾아볼 수 있었다. 그는 기존의 主知主義的 이론 답습의 교육철학에 회의를 느꼈으며, 지식의 증식보다는 실천과 실용, 그리고 기술교육의 효과와 함께, 이론과 실천이 병행할 수 있는 조화로운 교육철학을 갖고 있었다. 한편 왕양명은 고대 공자의 교육방법과 유사한 가르침을 전수하고자 했는데, 그의 교육방법은 ‘덕’ 중심 교육으로부터 ‘행’중심으로, 또 정감적 교육방법을 적절히 이용하여 무지로부터의 자각을 계몽하는 방법론을 시도한 것으로 분석되었다.
