The study is all about developing integrated art therapy programs using traditional plays, and finding out the effects on the sociality of children in low-income families. The subjects of the study are children with lower sociality in low-income families, who are the 2nd and 3rd graders in
elementary schools using a local children center located in the city of S in Kyungido. A total of 16 children ― 8 in the experimental group and 8 in the control group ― are chosen. Qualitative tests, such as K-HTP(Kinetic House-Tree-Person), KFD(Kinetic Family Drawing), KSD(Kinetic School
Drawing), were conducted, and the gradual behavioral changes of the children in the experimental group were observed and recorded. In the aspect of quantitative tests, the changes of pre- and post-tests using the measurement of sociality were measured. The results are as follows. First, it is shown that the experimental group increased more significantly in points about sociality than the control group. Second, it is shown that the experimental group increased more significantly in points about the sub-elements of sociality, such as diligence, independence, cooperation, law-abiding spirit, and responsibility. The results of the study suggest that integrated art therapy using traditional plays has positive effects on sociality of children in low-income families.

본 연구의 목적은 전통놀이를 활용한 통합예술치료 프로그램을 개발하고, 저소득층 아동의 사회성에 미치는 효과를 규명하는데 있다. S시에 위치한 지역아동센터를 이용하는 초등학교 2～3학년으로서 사회성 검사를 실시하여 사회성이 낮은 저소득층 아동을 대상으로 2009년 1월 23일부터 4월 17일에 걸쳐 전통놀이를 활용한 통합예술치료 프로그램을실시하였다. 양적 검사로는 사회성 척도를 이용한 사전ㆍ사후검사의 변화를 측정하였다. 질적 검사로는 K-HTP(동적 집-나무-사람 그림), KFD(동적 가족화), KSD(동적 학교생활화) 그림검사와 실험집단 아동의 단계별 행동 변화에 대한 관찰 기록을 실시하였다. 연
구 결과는 첫째, 전통놀이를 활용한 통합예술치료 실험집단은 통제집단보다 사회성 점수가 유의미하게 향상되었다. 둘째, 전통놀이를 활용한 통합예술치료 실험집단은 통제집단보다 사회성 하위요인인 근면성, 자주성, 협동성, 준법성, 책임감 점수가 유의미하게 향상되었다. 따라서 전통놀이를 활용한 통합예술치료가 저소득층 아동의 사회성 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
