This study aims to examine the historical origin and development processes of yeollimun (or agateware design), one of the traditional chinaware methods in the Goryeo Dynasty. While the comprehensive ideas of the yeollimun concept by Sir Goh Yu Seop were introduced, the general history of yeollimun in the West as well as in three Oriental countries (China, Korea, and Japan) was investigated. Based on yeollimun formation, the names of yeollimun techniques were classified. This techniques-centered research is eventually hoped to expand the ranges of pottery expression.

본 논문<연리문도자에 관한 연구 -기법연구를 중심으로>은 고려시대 전통기법 중 하나인 연리문 기법을 역사적 기원과 발전과정을 통해 고찰하였다. 본 연구에서는 고유섭 선생의 연리문 개념에 대한 포괄적 의미를 다루었으며, 동양 3국(중국, 한국, 일본)과 서양 연리문의 역사를 살펴보았다. 연리문 성형 방법을 토대로 연리문의 기법별 명칭을 분류하였으며 본 연구의 궁극적 목표인 연리문 기법 연구를 통해 도자표현 영역의 확장을 모색하였다.
