This research is of opinion that there should necessarily be accompanied by basic endeavors to recover faith in individual, group and the whole social system in order for proper confidence to be formed in political realm where distrust has been generalized. In addition, this research premises that the essential key point is no other than the leadership of a leader who can tide over such an adverse situation and also is equipped with character and faculty deserving to get confidence from the public. Thus, this research intended to take a general view by integrating "Authenticity" which is an ethical concept being aggressively raised recently as an essential element, with which a leader should be definitely equipped to obtain faith from the constituent members in societies, with a modern connection of a traditional ethical idea and virtuous ethics. And, also, this research aims at weighing a reliable political leader's ethical authenticity by putting together conceptual characteristics of reformative leadership which is being developed on the basis of "ethics" and authentic leadership in leadership research realm. In this process, this research intends to conduct this study to get clues to the contents to be developed in 'ethical' realm and realistic applications by exploring the conditions of faith in properly worked out political leadership from an ethical viewpoint.

본 연구는 불신이 일반화된 정치영역에서 올바른 신뢰가 형성되기 위해서는 개인 및 집단, 사회제도 전체의 신뢰회복을 위한 근원적 노력이 필연적으로 동반되어야 한다고 본다. 특히 이러한 상황을 극복하고 신뢰를 받을 만한 성품과 능력을 갖춘 지도자의 ‘리더십’이 핵심적인 관건이라 전제한다. 이에 사회구성원들의 신뢰를 획득하기 위해 리더가 반드시 갖추어야 할 핵심적 요소로서 최근 본격적으로 제기되고 있는 윤리적 개념인 ‘오센티서티(Authenticity)’를 전통적인 윤리사상 및 덕 윤리의 현대적 맥락과 접목시켜 개관해 보았다. 또한 리더십 연구 영역에서 ‘윤리’를 기반으로 한 이론을 전개하고 있는 변혁적 리더십과 오센틱 리더십의 개념적 특징을 종합하여 신뢰받는 정치리더의 윤리적 오센티서티를 가늠해 보기로 한다. 이 과정에서 제대로 된 정치리더십의 신뢰의 조건을 ‘윤리’적 측면에서 탐색하여 ‘윤리’적 영역의 개발 내용과 현실적 적용에 대한 단초를 마련하기 위해 본 연구를 진행하고자 한다.
