The purpose of this study is to propose teaching & learning scheme of moral education that socratic dialogue method is applied in order to develop the power of moral thinking. The socratic dialogue method helps develop people's rational thinking power. Through this, it generates improvement in emotional and behavioral morality, and also develops considerable thinking based on critical thinking power. this study analyzes the process of Socratic dialogue method and proves that it involves essential elements of thinking power.These progress is closely related to the progress of critical thinking. And in the process of Socratic dialogue method, there are typical types of questions in each step such as, “Problem-question”, “What-question”, and "Which-what-question".Based on the discussions mentioned above, the following are some teaching strategies of moral education that the socratic dialogue method is applied.Additionally, moral classes in school that applies the Socratic dialogue method have to consider the Socratic dialogue method itself and problems in teaching activities and learning activities. To solve these problems, teachers' role in operating appropriate teaching method have to be emphasized.

본 논문의 연구 목적은, 도덕적 사고력을 발전시키기 위하여 소크라테스 대화법을 적용한 도덕과 교수학습 방법을 제시하는 데 있다. 소크라테스 대화법은 이성적 사고를 발전하게 하고, 이를 통해 정의적·행동적 도덕성의 발전을 가져온다. 또한 소크라테스 대화법은 비판적 사고를 바탕으로 배려적사고까지 발전하게 한다. 그러므로 소크라테스대화법을 통해 도덕적 사고력의 발전이 이룰 수 있다. 이러한 소크라테스 대화법의 전개과정 분석하여 사고능력향상을 가져오는 요소들을 밝혔다. 이것을 바탕으로 소크라테스 대화법을 적용한 도덕과 수업의 방향을 제시하였다. 이 소크라테스의 대화법을 적용한 도덕과 수업에서는 나타날 수 있는 여러 문제점도 고려하여, 이에 따라 적절하게 교수학습을 운영하는 교사의 역할도 중요하다.
