오픈소스 코드를 이용한 통합 전산유체역학 환경 구축

CFD 해석 기술은 열 또는 유체 유동과 관련한 산업 전분야에 걸친 제품의 설계, 개발 시에 컴퓨터를 응용하는 해석 기술로서, 컴퓨터를 이용한 가상 시험 (시뮬레이션)을 통해 개발기간 단축, 비용절감 등을 이루고자 활용되고 있다. 그러나 CFD 해석을 위해서는 고가의 외산 상용 CFD 소프트웨어의 사용이 일반적이다. 이에 대한 대안으로 Opensource 기반의 CFD 소프트웨어가 있으나 텍스트 인터페이스 환경만을 지원하기 때문에 전문적인 지식을 가진 사용자만이 사용 가능하다. 이에 본 기술개발에서는 상용 CFD 해석 소프트웨어 수준의 신뢰도를 가지며, 국내외적으로 많은 사용자를 확보하고 있는 Opensource 기반의 CFD 소프트웨어인 OpenFOAM에 대하여 그래픽 기반 환경 설정을 지원하도록 구성하여 전문가뿐만 아니라 초보자도 쉽게 CFD 해석 환경의 구축이 가능하도록 하는 환경을 개발하였다. 또한 개발된 시스템은 CFD 해석을 위한 전처리(형상 및 격자생성) 환경과 후처리(결과 분석 및 가시화)를 위한 환경을 연계를 지원하여 하나의 플랫폼안에서 통합된 CFD 해석 프로세스가 가능하도록 지원한다.
CFD analysis is an analytical technique that applies a computer to the design and development of products across the e ntire industry for heat or fluid flow. This technology is used to shorten the development period and reduce costs through computerized simulation. However, the software used for CFD analysis is now required to use expensive foreign software. The Opensource CFD analysis software used in the proposed system has reliability of commercial CFD analysis software and has various user groups. However, for users who have expert knowledge, Opensource CFD software which supports o nly text interface environment, We have developed an environment that enables the construction of a CFD analysis enviro nment for beginners as well as professionals. In addition, the proposed system supports the pre-processing (design and me shing) environment for CFD analysis and the environment for post-processing (result analysis & visualization), enabling t he integrated CFD analysis process in one platform.

자동차 배기성능개선을 위한 확장형 공동파이프에 관한 연구

The temperature of exhaust gas was raised by increasing of engine movement on developing engine. Thermal of high temperature and pressure reverse in bellows, because of increasing of engine movement and the thermal performance of converter in combustion. As a result, thermal loss is increased and thermal efficiency is decreased rapidly in bellows, it can occur to damage in mechanical structure. In this study, it was necessary to analyze back pressure performance and thermal characteristic on driving condition in exhaust system. It was adapted braid type bellows and straight type exhaust pipe. It was compared with curve type exhaust pipe for lay-out on considering to design of exhaust system. It was necessary to improve thermal characteristic and back pressure performance so that expansion cavity pipe(ECP) was installed between bellows and catalyst convert. Not only decreasing back pressure was solved but also thermal characteristic problems in exhaust pipe because of increasing capacity. According to this study, the basis of data is presented when new exhaust system is designed.

In roll forming process, a sheet metal is continuously progressively formed into a product with required cross-section and longitudinal shape, such as a circular tube with required diameter, wall-thickness and straightness, by passing through a series of forming rolls in arranged in tandem. In this process, each pair of forming rolls installed in a forming machine play a particular role in making up the required cross-section and longitudinal shape of the product. In recent years, that process is often applied to the bumper rail in the automotive industries. In this study, a optimal SILL SIDE manufacturing technology, model deign and proper roll-pass sequences can be suggested by forming number of roll-pass and bending angle. And also effects of the process parameters on the final shape formed by roll forming defects were evaluated.

박판재의 스프링백 해석(I)-잔류 변형율에 근거한 해석모델

As the springback of sheet metal during unloading may cause deviation from a desired shape, accurate prediction of springback is essential for the design of sheet stamping operations. When considering the case of a sheet metal being bent to radius $\rho$ that is such that the maximum stress induced exceed the elastic limit of the material, plastic strain in the outer surface will occur and the material will take a permanent set: but since, on removing the bending moment, the recovery of the material is not uniform across the thickness, springback will occur and the radius $\rho$ will not be maintained. Furthermore, when a tensile load being applied to each end of specimen, the tensile stress due to bending is increased and the compressive stress is decreased or cancelled and eventually the whole specimen may be in varying degree of tension. On the removal of the applied load the specimen loses its elastic strain by contracting around the contour of the block, the radius $\rho$ will be determined by the residual differential strain. Therefore in this study the springback is analytically estimated by the residual differential strains between upper and lower surfaces of greatest radius after elastic recovery, and a springback model based on the bending moment is also analytically derived for comparison purpose.

We research into the exhaust system volume what proving the optimum exhaust performance and combustion characteristics. Many automobile manufactures have developed complex exhaust system for environment regulation and noise reduction. This complex exhaust system provides acoustics silencing and low frequency noise for customers demand. Recently, automobile exhaust system have made the Dual muffler concerning to the noise and vibration reduction. Also it bring the engine performance down by decreasing the back pressure and temperature in the exhaust system. The experiments are carried out different volume of exhaust system. In order to establish the optimized conditions design factors which are taking exhaust system volume, it show how the exhaust performance influence on the engine performance in idling.

In this study, it is investigated that sheet characteristics of high strength steel sheets and effect of springback. High strength steel sheets has got attention in automobile industry of high strength and high formability. Springback is a common phenomenon in sheet metal forming, caused by the elastic recovery of the internal stresses after removal of the tooling. However, the information in deformation behavior of high strength steel sheets, including bending and sheet characteristics and springback, is not enough until now. In this research, the V-bending experiment and analysis have been done to obtain the information of springback of high strength steel sheets. Tensile test for high strength steel sheets was done to got tensile properties of elastic modulus and flow stress of the material. It analyzed springback according to the sheet characteristics with using roll-forming model. FE-Simulation used DEFORM-$3D^{TM}$.

박판재의 스프링백 해석(II)-해석모델의 실험적 검증

As the springback of sheet metal during unloading nay cause deviation from a desired shape, accurate prediction of springback is essential for the design of sheet stamping operations. On the removal of the applied load the specimen loses its elastic strain by contracting around the contour of the block, the radius $\rho$ can be determined by the residual differential strain. Therefore in this study the springback estimated by the residual differential strain is experimentally validated through the comparison with those obtained by U-bending test. The springback characteristics of two analytical models are also estimated at various processing conditions such as thickness, curvature of radius and drawing strain. The model based on residual differential strain has an applied transition strain where the springback undergoes a dramatic decrease. Both models show that springback decreases with increased strip thickness and with decreased radius of curvature. For no applied tension, the model based on residual differential strain predicts more springback as compared to the moment based model.

The muffler which reduce the exhaust noise and vibration from engine influence on the engine performance. Recently, exhaust variable valve has set up in the muffler controls the backpressure in the exhaust system. And the backpressure variation according to the exhaust variable valve opening has developed the engine performance. First, the preceding of structural analysis is needed and simulation experiment is requested for the study on the design factor to influence on the operation of the exhaust variable valve. In this study, setting up the various variables according to each composition element needed for the structural analysis of the exhaust variable valve, it is experimented the analysis on the influence of each design factor with the calculation of stress distribution and the displacement to cause about the backpressure for the valve through parameter study.

Process design has been performed for the warm hydroforming of light weight alloy tubes. For the heating of tubes, specially designed induction heating system has been adopted to ensure rapid heating of tubes. The induction heating system uses 30kHz frequency induction coil in order to concentrate the energy in the tube and prevent the energy loss. But the induced heat by the integrated heating system, consisting of induction coil, tube, pressure oil and dies, was normally not equally distributed over the length and circumference of the tube specimen, and consequent temperature distribution was non-uniform. So additional heating element has been inserted into the inside of the tube to maintain the forming temperature and reduce temperature drop due to heat loss to the molds. And for that heat loss, a heat insulation system has also been installed. The drop in flow stress at elevated temperatures results in lower internal pressure for hydroforming and lower clamping forces. The proposed warm hydroforming process has been successfully implemented when applying 6061 aluminum extruded tubes.

Recently air pollution has become an important issue. So, as tile number of vehicles increases, the noise pollution has become one of the most serious social issues nowadays. It is a muffler, which is one of the vehicle components. that has the hugest impact on the noise from the vehicle. And it also has a direct influence on the engine performance. So lately the research is proceeding on tile semi-active muffler which can control the back pressure variably by setting up the exhaust variable valve in the baffle to improve its internal structure. The inner parts of muffler which consist of a baffle, pipes and etc. appear to have the complicated turbulence phenomena by the pulsational wave of an unsteady state in the engine and by the structural characteristics of the inner parts. To analyze these phenomena, it is required to have an analysis of its constant quantity and quality. Therefore this study is to analyze with PIV measurement which can analyze the time and space variables, not with the point measurement method like former multi-point anemometer. It is to suggest proper design variables which need to make internal structure of the muffler improve though comparison between the passive type muffler and the semi-active muffler by fabricating a muffler which can be visualized.

The influence of the heat sources on LED junction temperature are Engine room air, Back plate, Electric power device, and so on. LED lamp cooling system is considered to be an important subject fur high light efficiency. Because LED Chip will be problem When LED junction temperature be over $135^{\circ}C$, In this Study, The Looped Heat Pipe System is considered to prevent LED Chip fall. The LHPS is consist of evaporator part, condenser part, heat pipe part. The working fluid of LHPS is HCFC-123. In this study, to prevent LED Chipfall, we study thermal characteristics for Looped Heat Pipe System with LED lamp.

온간하이드로포밍을 이용한 알루미늄 자동차부품 제조기술 개발

Warm forming technology was classified into hot gas forming of using compressible fluid as a nitrogen gas and warm hydroforming of using the incompressible fluid as a thermal oil by using medium fluid. In this study, the aluminum side-rail part was developed with warm hydroforming technology. For the warm hydroforming system, top and bottom die was designed to insert heating cartridge in die cavity and special indirect fluid heating system was designed to heat the thermal oil. As increase the temperature, hydroformability was increased linearly. Aluminum side-rail center part was formed 90% at the internal pressure of 100bar and perfectly formed at 300bar within a moderate temperature. The tube material used for warm hydroforming was a aluminum 6000 series alloy with the diameter of 120mm, thickness of 5mm, length of 1,300mm. Warm hydroformed side-rail center part had 20% of maximum expansion ratio and below 20% of maximum thinning ratio at corner radius. This results were provided to show warm hydroforming possibility for aluminum automotive components.

Recently, Automobile manufactures have developing automotive exhaust system under consideration for improvement in engine performance. It thus develop many exhaust components. For example active muffler, semi-active muffler, electronic muffler etc. In this components consider enhanced back pressure and reduction noise. Especially, In recent years it develop the study of semi-active muffler. Semi-active muffler is simple structure and excel performance. Recently many forms semi-active muffler was developed and adopted to the actual use in consideration of cost and technical side for noise and vibration. This study had main objects about the recently developed the semi-active muffler. It was to show its combustion performance as well as its enhanced back pressure characteristics in design. Therefore if the precise analysis of the combustion pressure according to the back pressure transmission was carried out, it was understood that this study would be utilized in the design of the exhaust system such as the semi-active muffler.

온간액압성형공정에서 Al 6061 튜브의 소성변형특성에 관한 연구

In this strudy, the free-bulge test and FE analysis have been used to define the fracture criteria based on the cockroft and Latham's criterion in warm hydroforming of Al 6061 tube. Full annealing and T6 treatment for heat treatment of Al 6061 tube ware used in this study. As-extruded, full annealed and T6-treated Al 6061 seamless tubes were prepared. To evaluate the hydroformability, uni-axial tensile test and bulge test were performed between room temperature and $200^{\circ}C$. And measured flow stress was used to simulate the warm hydroforming. A commercial FEM code, DEFORM-$2D^{TM}$, was used to calculate the damage value. A forming limit based ductile fracture criteria has been proposed by the results of experimental and FE analysis. The calculated values for fracture criteria will be efficient to predict the forming limit in hydroforming for real complex shaped part.

Recently, the performance development of the exhaust system of a car is very important. The most important part of parts that constructing the exhaust system of a car is a muffler. The muffler reducing the exhaust noise from the engine influence on the engine performance directly. The inner parts of the muffler construct with the baffle and perforated pipes and so on. In the recent study, the study to design the semi-active muffler sensing the exhaust gas pressure controlling the back pressure variably with a EVV progress activity. So that the inner parts of the muffler show the complicated turbulent flow phenomena because of pulsatile flow from the engine and the structural properties and so on. The qualitative and quantitative analysis about the turbulent flow phenomena of the inner parts of the muffler is required gradually. In this study, to analysis the flow field of the inner parts of the muffler, analysis results with the PIV measurement to be able to analysis the variable change of the time and the space. Therefore, try to show the design variables to need to design the inner parts of a muffler of a car.

알루미늄합금의 열간 액압성형법 성형성에 대한 가열조건의 영향도 분석

Modern automobiles are built with a steadily increasing variety of materials and semifinished products. The traditional composition of steel sheet and cast iron is being replaced with other materials such as aluminum and magnesium. But low formability of these materials has prevented the application of the automotive components. The formability can be enhanced by conducting the warm hydroforming using induction heating device which can raise the temperature of the specimen very quickly. The specimen applied to the test is A6061, A7075 extruded tubes which belong to the age-hardenable aluminum alloys. But in the case of A6061 age hardening occurs at room temperature or at elevated temperatures before and after the forming process. In this study the effects of the heating condition such as heating time, preset temperature, holding time during die closing and forming time on the hydroformability are analyzed to evaluate the phenomena such as dynamic strain hardening and ageing hardening at high temperatures after the hydroforming process.

A bumper comprises a bumper cover, a bumper beam for distributing the load from the impacts applied to the bumper cover and reinforcing the bumper, an absorber member interposed between the bumper cover and tile bumper beam, and a pair of bumper stays which secure the bumper beam to the vehicle body. A conventional bumper stay structure is assembled into several stamped parts, so several processes are needed and the structure is complicated. In this study the bumper stay is applied to the tubular hydroforming which is known to have several advantages such as the reduction of the number of the process and the part weight. The thickness distribution of the tube is mainly considered to evaluate the hydro-formability and the shape of the tube is determined.
