Parameter identification problem has important research background and research value, has become in recent years inverse problem of heat conduction of top priority. This paper studies the Parabolic Equation Inverse Problems of parameter identification problem, and applies PSO to solve research. Firstly, this paper establishes the model of the inverse problem of partial differential equations. The content and classification of the inverse problem of partial differential equations are explained. Frequently, the construction and solution of the finite difference method for parabolic equations are studied, and two stable schemes for one dimensional parabolic equation are given. And two numerical simulations were given. Partial differential equation discretization was with difference quotient instead of partial derivative. The partial differential equations with initial boundary value problem into algebraic equations, and then solving the resulting algebraic equations. Then, the basic principles of PSO and its improved algorithms are studied and compared. Particle swarm optimization algorithm program implementation. Finally, the Parabolic Equation Inverse Problems of particle swarm optimization algorithm performed three simulations. We use a set of basis functions gradually approaching the true solution, selection of initial value. The reaction is converted into direct problem question, then use difference method Solution of the direct problem. The solution of the problem with the additional conditions has being compared. The reaction optimization problem is transformed into the final particle swarm optimization algorithm to solve. Verify the Parabolic Equation Inverse Problems of particle swarm optimization algorithm correctness and applicability.

Vecer derived a degenerate parabolic equation characterizing the price of Asian options with generally sampled average. It is well understood that there exists a unique probabilistic solution to Vecer's PDE but it remained unclear whether the probabilistic solution is a classical solution. We prove that the probabilistic solution to Vecer's PDE is indeed regular.

The parabolic equation technique provides an excellent model to describe the wave phenomena when there exists a predominant direction of propagation. The model handles the square root wave number operator in paraxial direction. Realization of the pseudo-differential square root operator is the essential part of the parabolic equation method for its numerical accuracy. The wide-angled approximation of the operator is made based on the Pade series expansion, where the branch line rotation scheme can be combined with the original Pade approximation to stabilize its computational performance for complex modes. The Galerkin integration has been employed to discretize the depth-dependent operator. The benchmark tests involving the half-infinite space, the range independent and dependent environment will validate the implemented numerical model.

We prove matrix and classical Harnack estimates for a positive solution to the parabolic equation ∂tu(x, t) = ∆u(x, t) + A(u(x, t)) on a compact Kähler manifold. By tracing and integrating the matrix Harnack inequality, we obtain the classical Harnack estimate. We also give matrix and classical Harnack inequalities of two classes of specific parabolic equations, which extend existing results to more general cases.

In this paper, we obtain some gradient estimates for positive solutions to the following nonlinear parabolic equation $$\frac{{\partial}u}{{\partial}t}={\triangle}u-b(x,t)u^{\sigma}$$ under general geometric flow on complete noncompact manifolds, where 0 < ${\sigma}$ < 1 is a real constant and $b(x,t)$ is a function which is $C^2$ in the $x$-variable and $C^1$ in the$t$-variable. As an application, we get an interesting Harnack inequality.

In this work, we are concerned by the problem of identification of noisy terms which arise in singular problem as for remote sensing problems, and which are modeled by a linear singular parabolic equation. For the reason of missing some data that could be arisen when using the traditional sentinel method, the later will be changed by a new sentinel method for attaining the same purpose. Such new method is a particular least square-like method which permits one to distinguish between the missing terms and the pollution terms. In particular, a sentinel method will be given here in its more realistic setting for singular parabolic problems, where in this case, the observation and the control have their support in different open sets. The problem of finding a new sentinel is equivalent to finding singular optimality system of the least square control for the parabolic equation that we solve.

This paper deals with blow-up phenomena for an initial boundary value problem of a quasilinear parabolic equation with time-dependent coefficient in a bounded star-shaped region under nonlinear boundary flux. Using the auxiliary function method and differential inequality technique, we establish some conditions on time-dependent coefficient and nonlinear functions for which the solution u(x, t) exists globally or blows up at some finite time $t^*$. Moreover, some upper and lower bounds for $t^*$ are derived in higher dimensional spaces. Some examples are presented to illustrate applications of our results.

We study the existence and long-time behavior of weak solutions to a class of strongly degenerate semilinear parabolic equations with exponential nonlinearities on ℝN. To overcome some significant difficulty caused by the lack of compactness of the embeddings, the existence of a global attractor is proved by combining the tail estimates method and the asymptotic a priori estimate method.

This paper deals with the blow-up phenomenon of solutions to a pseudo-parabolic equation with logarithmic nonlinearity, which was studied extensively in recent years. The previous result depends on the mountain-pass level d (see (1.6) for its definition). In this paper, we obtain two blow-up conditions which do not depend on d. Moreover, the upper bound of the blow-up time is obtained.

We here investigate an existence and uniqueness of the nontrivial, nonnegative solution of a nonlinear ordinary differential equation: $$[\mid(w^m)]'\mid^{p-2}(w^m)']'\;+\;{\beta}rw'\;+\;{\alpha}w\;+\;(w^q)'\;=\;0$$ satisfying a specific decay rate: $lim_{r\rightarrow\infty}\;r^{\alpha/\beta}w(r)$ = 0 with $\alpha$ := (p - 1)/[pd-(m+1)(p-1)] and $\beta$:= [q-m(p-1)]/[pd-(m+1)(p-1)]. Here m(p-1) > 1 and m(p - 1) < q < (m+1)(p-1). Such a solution arises naturally when we study a very singular solution for a doubly degenerate equation with nonlinear convection: $$u_t\;=\;[\mid(u^m)_x\mid^{p-2}(u^m)_x]_x\;+\;(u^q)x$$ defined on the half line.

Global attractivity and oscillatory behavior of the following nonlinear impulsive parabolic differential equation which is a general form of many population models $$\array{\{{{\frac {{\partial}u(t,x)}{{\partial}t}=\Delta}u(t,x)-{\delta}u(t,x)+f(u(t-\tau,x)),\;t{\neq}t_k,\\u(t^+_k,x)-u(t_k,x)=g_k(u(t_k,x)),\;k{\in}I_\infty,}\;\;\;\;\;\;\;\;(*)$$ are considered. Some new sufficient conditions for global attractivity and oscillation of the solutions of (*) with Neumann boundary condition are established. These results no only are true but also improve and complement existing results for (*) without diffusion or impulses. Moreover, when these results are applied to the Nicholson's blowflies model and the model of Hematopoiesis, some new results are obtained.

This article aims to study the existence and uniqueness of a weak solution for a singular and degenerate nonlinear parabolic equation with a generalized nonlinear integral condition of the second type. The proof of the existence and uniqueness of the weak solution to such a problem will be proceeded with in three steps. In the same regard, the solvability of the linear case of the problem at hand will be handled with the use of the Faedo-Galerkin method, a priori estimate, and by imposing some nonlinear conditions of the second kind.

In this paper we consider a class of nonlinear nonlocal parabolic equations involving p-Laplacian operator where the nonlocal quantity is present in the diffusion coefficient which depends on $L^p$-norm of the gradient and the nonlinear term is of polynomial type. We first prove the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions by combining the compactness method and the monotonicity method. Then we study the existence of global attractors in various spaces for the continuous semigroup generated by the problem. Finally, we investigate the existence and exponential stability of weak stationary solutions to the problem.

The paper is devoted to studying a fourth-order degenerate parabolic equation, which arises in fluid, phase transformation and biology. Based on the existence and uniqueness of one semi-discrete problem, two types of approximate solutions are introduced. By establishing some necessary uniform estimates for those approximate solutions, the existence and uniqueness of the corresponding parabolic problem are obtained. Moreover, the long time asymptotic behavior is established by the entropy functional method.
