신체장애 청년의 모바일 기기 이용 능력이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향: 사회적 자본의 다중 매개효과

본 연구는 신체장애 청년의 활발한 모바일 기기 활용과 디지털 사회 참여라는 관점에서 신체장애 청년의 모바일 기기 이용 능력이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 있다. 이러한 분석에서 본 연구는 Büchi(2024)의 디지털 웰빙 이론을 기반으로 신체장애 청년의 모바일 기기 이용 능력이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향에서 결속형 사회적 자본과 연결형 사회적 자본의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국지능정보사회진흥원의 2022년 디지털정보격차 실태조사 데이터를 활용하였으며, 만 19세 이상 39세 이하의 신체장애 청년 444명을 자료 분석에 활용하였다. Hayes(2009)의 Process Macro를 활용한 매개모형 분석 결과 신체장애 청년의 모바일 기기 이용 능력은 이들의 삶의 만족도에 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 결속형 사회적 자본과 연결형 사회적 자본은 모바일 기기 이용 능력과 삶의 만족도 간 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 모바일 기기를 단순히 소지하고 이용하는 것뿐만 아니라 이를 활용할 수 있는 역량에 중점을 둔 함의를 강조하고, 신체장애 청년의 모바일 기기 이용 능력 증진을 통한 사회적 자본 확대 및 삶의 만족 향상을 위한 실천 및 정책적 제언을 도출하였다.

According to Buchi's (2024) theory of digital well-being, the ability to utilize information and digital resources can make individuals more connected to society and consequently have positive impacts on their lives. This study aims to examine the extent to which ability to use mobile devices of young adults with physical disabilities in South Korea influences their life satisfaction and whether the relationship between ability to use mobile devices and life satisfaction is mediated by social capital. Key findings of this study are as follows: First, the level of ability to use mobile devices was found to have positive impacts on life satisfaction among young adults with physical disabilities. Second, ability to use mobile devices has positive and significant impacts on both bridging and bonding social capital. Third, both bridging and bonding social capital influenced life satisfaction positively. Last, both bridging and bonding social capital were found to have mediational effects on the relationship between ability to use mobile devices and life satisfaction among young adults with physical disabilities. These findings of this study provide empirical support for the digital well-being theory, emphasizing the importance of understanding how mobile devices are utilized, rather than simply owned and used. Accordingly, social intervention programs need to be implemented to enhance not only mobile usage but also mobile literacy of young adults with physical disabilities.

In this paper, all elements used in integrated infrastructure for job competency assessments of NCS (National Competency Standards) will be merged into assessment system using multiple devices(ASMD). NCS is a systematic approach on required abilities (knowledge, technical expertise, attitude) to process the tasks in the fields by industry. Competiveness of ASMD design is that no limitation of time and space using personal devices like PC, laptop, smartphone, and tablet, while seeing screen, hearing, touching, speaking, and writing. Question type can be limitless to express the situation. To lead technologies and market for domestic and oversea assessment system, supporting on multiple devices with connectivity that will eliminate limitation of time and space is the key feature for design competitiveness. Design of integrated assessment system proposed in this paper can be applied to NCS, fundamental competency evaluation, online test, job aptitude test, and foreign language test which involve listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Compared with existing evaluation method, reduction of investment and operating cost will be greater. Along with development of ICT technologies, the next generation of integrated assessment system will be quickly changed to ASMD, which already involves connected service between internet and smart devices.

As networks increase and cross-convergence occurs between various types of devices and communications, there is an increasing demand for interoperable service in the business environment and from end users. In this paper, we investigate interoperability issues in the digital rights management (DRM) and present a practical framework to support interoperability in environments with multiple devices. The proposed architecture enables end users to consume digital content on all their devices without awareness of the underlying DRM schemes or technologies. It also enables DRM service providers to achieve interoperability without costly modification of their DRM schemes.

Motion estimation is a key Natural User Interface/Natural User Experience (NUI/NUX) technology to utilize motions as commands. HTC VIVE is an excellent device for estimating motions but only considers the positions of hands, not the orientations of arms. Even if the positions of the hands are the same, the meaning of motions can differ according to the orientations of the arms. Therefore, when the positions of arms are measured and utilized, their orientations should be estimated as well. This paper proposes a method for estimating the arm orientations based on the Bayesian probability of the hand positions measured in advance. In experiments, the proposed method was used to measure the hand positions with HTC VIVE. The results showed that the proposed method estimated orientations with an error rate of about 19%, but the possibility of estimating the orientation of any body part without additional devices was demonstrated.

To implement a cloud game service platform supporting multiple users and devices based on real-time streaming, there are many technical needs, including game screen and sound capturing, audio/video encoding in real time created by a high-performance server-generated game screen, and real-time streaming to client devices, such as low-cost PCs, smart devices, and set-top boxes. We therefore present a game service platform for the running and management of the game screen, as well as running the sound on the server, in which the captured and encoded game screen and sound separately provide client devices through real-time streaming. The proposed platform offers Web-based services that allow game play on smaller end devices without requiring the games to be installed locally.

Numerical Analysis for Hydrodynamic Performance of OWC Devices with Multiple Chambers in Waves

In recent years, various studies have been conducted on oscillating-water-column-type wave energy converters (OWC-WECs) with multiple chambers with the objective of efficiently utilizing the limited space of offshore/onshore structures. In this study, a numerical investigation based on a numerical wave tank was conducted on single, dual, and triple OWC chambers to examine the hydrodynamic performances and the energy conversion characteristics of the multiple water columns. The boundary value problem with the Laplace equation was solved by using a numerical wave tank based on a finite element method. The validity of the current numerical method was confirmed by comparing it with the measured data in the previous experimental research. We undertook a series of numerical simulations and observed that the water column motion of sloshing mode in a single chamber can be changed into the piston motion of different phases in multiple OWC chambers. Therefore, the piston motion in the multiple chambers can generate considerable airflow at a specific resonant frequency. In addition, the division of the OWC chamber results in a reduction of the time-dependent variability of the final output power from the device. As a result, the application of the multiple chambers leads to an increase of the energy conversion performance as well as a decrease of the variability of the wave energy converter.

The study relates to achievement and analysis of 3-dimensional spatial pulse wave archived by a spatially arterial pulse diagnostic apparatus (SAPDA), wherein a pulse sensing part array consists of multiple hall devices and is located over a skin contacting part which consists of a magnetic material. When a radially arterial pulse is transferred to the magnetic material, which is contacted skin that results in changes in a magnetic field of the lower part of the pulse sensing part array, the changes in a magnetic field can be detected by the commercial Hall semiconductor device of the pulse sensing part array. Finally, according to development of SAPDA, the 3-dimensionally arterial pulse waveform can be measured noninvasively by detecting the changes of the magnetic field.

The electrical and the optical properties of organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs), with and without various kinds of multiple heterostructures were investigated. The efficiency in green OLEDs were significantly enhanced by the structure of the multiple heterostructures acting as a hole transport layer (HTL) rather than by the number of periods. These results indicate that highly efficient green OLEDs utilizing multiple heterostructures acting as a HTL can be fabricated.

Useful continuous sensing applications are increasingly emerging as a new class of mobile applications. Meanwhile, open, multi-use sensor devices are newly adopted beyond smartphones, and provide huge opportunities to expand potential application categories. In this upcoming environment, uncoordinated use of sensor devices would cause severe imbalance in power consumption of devices, and thus result in early shutdown of some sensing applications depending on power-hungry devices. In this paper, we propose EnergyCordy, a novel inter-device energy use coordination system; with a system-wide holistic view, it coordinates the energy use of concurrent sensing applications over multiple sensor devices. As its key approach, we propose a relaxed sensor association; it decouples the energy use of an application from specific sensor devices leveraging multiple context inference alternatives, allowing flexible energy coordination at runtime. We demonstrated the effectiveness of EnergyCordy by developing multiple example applications over custom-designed wearable senor devices. We show that EnergyCordy effectively coordinates the power usage of concurrent sensing applications over multiple devices and prevent undesired early shutdown of applications.

Poling Quality Enhancement of PPLN Devices Using Negative Multiple Pulse Poling Method

A poling method using multiple negative voltage was introduced to fabricate periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) devices with quasi-phase matching (QPM) period of $12.9\;{\mu}m$ by utilizing an real-time visualization system. We also performed variation of the electric field during the poling. Two different conventionally used poling method, negative and positive single pulses, were used and the poling quality compared through microscopic images and far-field diffraction pattern analysis. Etched images on the +z and -z surfaces of PPLN showed that negative multiple pulse poling presented the highest periodicity in domain structures among the three methods. Duty ratio and its standard deviation were measured by analyzing far-field diffraction patterns. The newly introduced method of negative multiple pulse poling had duty ratio of 0.42 which was close to the ideal value of 0.50 and standard deviation of 0.020 that was about 3 times smaller than that of the other conventional methods.

This study investigated the radial pulse waveform obtained by a medical pulsimeter sensor. A pulse-sensing part array consisting of multiple Hall devices was located over a skin-contacting part with a hard magnetic material. The periodic movement of the magnetic material of the skin-contacting part affected the magnetic field in the pulse-sensing part array and was detected by multiple Hall devices. The analysis of a radial pulse waveform that is measured noninvasively by detecting the changes of the magnetic field can be used to develop a new diagnostic algorithm of oriental medical apparatus.

We propose a novel negative differential resistance (NDR) device with ultra-high peak-to-valley current ratio (PVCR) by combining pn junction diode with depletion mode nanowire (NW) transistor, which suppress the valley current with transistor off-leakage level. Band-to-band tunneling (BTBT) Esaki diode with degenerately doped pn junction can provide multiple switching behavior having multi-peak and valley currents. These multiple NDR characteristics can be controlled by doping concentration of tunnel diode and threshold voltage of NW transistor. By designing our NDR device, PVCR can be over $10^4$ at low operation voltage of 0.5 V in a single peak and valley current.

The efficiency and the optical properties of the yellow organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) were significantly affected by the existence of the multiple quantum well (MQW) structures consisting of N, N'- bis-(1-naphthyl)-N, N'-diphenyl-1,1-biphenyl-4,4'- diamine(NPB)/5,6,11,12 - tetraphenylnaphthacene (rubrene). The maximum efficiency and the luminance of OLEDs with 3-periods of the NPB/rubrene MQWs at 41.6 $mA/cm^2$ were 3.66 cd/A and 1524 $cd/m^2$, respectively, and their Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage chromaticity coordinates were (0.34, 0.55), which indicates a yellow color. These results indicate that the efficiencies of the OLEDs by using MQW emitting layers can be improved.

최근 사용자와 컴퓨터 간의 상호작용을 통하여 컴퓨터를 제어하는 시스템이 활발하게 연구되고 있으며, 특히 사람의 손 인식에 관한 연구가 많이 이루어지고 있다. 현재까지는 하나의 디바이스에서 사람의 손인식 정확도를 높이는 연구와 손동작을 통하여 디바이스를 제어하는 연구가 주를 이루고 있지만, 손 인식 기술이 여러 산업분야에 적용됨에 따라 다양한 환경과 상황에 적용하기 위하여 다중 디바이스 간의 시스템을 선택적으로 제어하는 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 손 인식을 통하여 두 개의 디바이스 중에서 선택적으로 하나의 디바이스를 제어하고자 한다. 더불어 6가지의 조건을 포함한 환경에서 실험을 통해 두 디바이스 간의 선택적 손 인식의 성공률을 높이기 위한 환경을 제시하고자 한다.

Extensive researches on PC control system via interaction between PC and users are being conducted recently, especially on human finger recognition in the electronic devices. Heretofore, researches on methods to improve the accuracy of finger recognition in a single device and to control the devices with it have been the mainstream, whereas many different industries where finger recognition become more utilized are demanding researches on methods to selectively control the system of multiple devices for applications in various environments and situations. This article demonstrates attempts to selectively control one of two devices through finger recognition. Along with this, experiments conducted with 6 variable conditions are demonstrated here, where the optimal condition to increase the rate of successful selective finger recognition between two devices is studied.

BLE 및 TCP 기반 다중 디바이스 간 안전한 인증서 복사 방법

인증서는 사용자의 신원확인 및 위 변조 방지, 부인방지 등의 기능을 수행하여 사용자를 증명할 수 있는 수단이 된다. 대부분의 사람들이 인터넷뱅킹을 이용한 업무를 수행할 때 공인인증서를 사용하며, 인터넷뱅킹 외에도 각종 증명서 발급, 전자 결제 등에서도 신원을 입증하는 용도로 많이 사용되고 있다. 이때 발급받은 인증서는 디스크 상에 파일 형태로 존재하며, 만약 새로운 디바이스에서 인증서를 사용하기 위해서는 기존의 디바이스에서 발급받은 인증서를 복사해야 사용이 가능하다. 하지만 대부분의 인증서 복사 방법은 8~16자리의 인증번호를 입력하여 복사하는 방법이며, 이는 인증번호를 입력해야 되는 번거로움이 있고, 보안에 취약하다는 단점이 있다. 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 TCP와 BLE를 사용하는 다중 채널에서의 보안강화 인증서 복사 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 1) BLE Advertising data를 이용하여 상호간에 인증 가능한 데이터를 공유하고, 2) ECC기반 전자서명 알고리즘을 통해 디바이스 인증 후 대칭키 알고리즘으로 인증서를 암호화하여 전달한다. 제안하는 방법을 모바일 환경에서 구현한 결과 기존방법의 보안취약영역인 스니핑 공격에 대한 방어가 가능하며, 무작위 대입 공격을 통한 복호화 시도 시 기존의 방법보다 약 $10^{41}$배 정도의 보안강도를 높일 수 있음을 보였다.

A certificate is a means to certify users by conducting the identification of the users, the prevention of forgery and alteration, and non-repudiation. Most people use an accredited certificate when they perform a task using online banking, and it is often used for the purpose of proving one's identity in issuing various certificates and making electronic payments in addition to online banking. At this time, the issued certificate exists in a file form on the disk, and it is possible to use the certificate issued in an existing device in a new device only if one copies it from the existing device. However, most certificate duplication methods are a method of duplication, entering an 8-16 digit verification code. This is inconvenient because one should enter the verification code and has a weakness that it is vulnerable to security issues. To solve this weakness, this study proposes a method for enhancing security certificate duplication in a multi-channel using TCP and BLE. The proposed method: 1) shares data can be mutually authenticated, using BLE Advertising data; and 2) encrypts the certificate with a symmetric key algorithm and delivers it after the certification of the device through an ECC-based electronic signature algorithm. As a result of the implementation of the proposed method in a mobile environment, it could defend against sniffing attacks, the area of security vulnerabilities in the existing methods and it was proven that it could increase security strength about $10^{41}$ times in an attempt of decoding through the method of substitution of brute force attack existing method.

인증서는 사용자의 신원확인 및 위⋅변조 방지, 부인방지 등의 기능을 수행하여 사용자를 증명할 수 있는 수단이 된다. 대부분의 사람들이 인터넷뱅킹을 이용한 업무를 수행할 때 공인인증서를 사용하며, 인터넷뱅킹 외에도 각종 증명서 발급, 전자 결제 등에서도 신원을 입증하는 용도로 많이 사용되고 있다. 이때 발급받은 인증서는 디스크 상에 파일 형태로 존재하며, 만약 새로운 디바이스에서 인증서를 사용하기 위해서는 기존의 디바이스에서 발급받은 인증서를 복사해야 사용이 가능하다. 하지만 대부분의 인증서 복사 방법은 8~16자리의 인증번호를 입력하여 복사하는 방법이며, 이는 인증번호를 입력해야 되는 번거로움이 있고, 보안에 취약하다는 단점이 있다. 이러한 단점을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 TCP와 BLE를 사용하는 다중 채널에서의 보안강화 인증서 복사 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 1) BLE Advertising data를 이용하여 상호간에 인증 가능한 데이터를 공유하고, 2) ECC기반 전자서명 알고리즘을 통해 디바이스 인증 후 대칭키 알고리즘으로 인증서를 암호화하여 전달한다. 제안하는 방법을 모바일 환경에서 구현한 결과 기존방법의 보안취약영역인 스니핑 공격에 대한 방어가 가능하며, 무작위 대입 공격을 통한 복호화 시도 시 기존의 방법보다 약 1041배 정도의 보안강도를 높일 수 있음을 보였다.

A certificate is a means to certify users by conducting the identification of the users, the prevention of forgery and alteration, and non-repudiation. Most people use an accredited certificate when they perform a task using online banking, and it is often used for the purpose of proving one’s identity in issuing various certificates and making electronic payments in addition to online banking. At this time, the issued certificate exists in a file form on the disk, and it is possible to use the certificate issued in an existing device in a new device only if one copies it from the existing device. However, most certificate duplication methods are a method of duplication, entering an 8-16 digit verification code. This is inconvenient because one should enter the verification code and has a weakness that it is vulnerable to security issues. To solve this weakness, this study proposes a method for enhancing security certificate duplication in a multi-channel using TCP and BLE. The proposed method: 1) shares data can be mutually authenticated, using BLE Advertising data; and 2) encrypts the certificate with a symmetric key algorithm and delivers it after the certification of the device through an ECC-based electronic signature algorithm. As a result of the implementation of the proposed method in a mobile environment, it could defend against sniffing attacks, the area of security vulnerabilities in the existing methods and it was proven that it could increase security strength about 1041 times in an attempt of decoding through the method of substitution of brute force attack existing method.

현재 무선전력전송 기술의 발전으로 무선충전에 대한 다양한 제품이 빠르게 출시되고 있다. 현재 출시된 제품의 무선충전패드는 자기유도방식을 이용한 접촉식 충전으로 거리의 제한이 있으며, 한 대의 기기밖에 충전할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 자기공진방식을 이용하여 기기를 비접촉식으로 충전하며, 다수의 기기를 동시에 충전하는 시스템을 소개하고 간단한 결과를 제시한다.

모바일 환경이 일반화되면서 모바일 디바이스간 또는 모바일 디바이스와 PC 또는 서버와의 동기화가 요구되었다. 모토로라, 에릭슨, 노키아 등의 업체들은 컨소시엄을 구성하여 데이터의 동기화와 다양한 전송프로토콜과의 연동을 목표로 산업계의 표준인 SyncML(Synchronization Markup Language)을 제정하였다. 그러나, SyncML에서는 동기화 과정에서 둘 이상의 클라이언트가 동일한 데이터 동기화를 요청했을 때 데이터 충돌이 일어나게 된다. 본 논문에서는 데이터 동기화과정에서 발생할 수 있는 다양한 충돌에 대해서 분석하고, 체계적으로 분류하였다. 이를 바탕으로 동기화에 대한 정보를 추적할 수 있는 Change Log Information(CLI)을 구축하고 운영 원칙을 수립하여, 데이터의 안정성과 일치성을 보장하기 위한 충돌 해결(Conflict Resolution)을 위한 방법을 제안한다.

As the mobile environment has been generalized, data synchronization with mobile devices or mobile device and PC/server is required. To deal with the problem, the consortium was established by the companies, such as Motorola, Ericsson, and Nokia, and released SyncML(Synchronization Markup Language) as a standard of industrial area for interoperating with data synchronization and various transmission protocol. But, in synchronization process, when more than two clients requested data synchronization, data conflict can be happened. This paper studies the various conflict reasons that can happen in data synchronization processes and groups them systematically Through the analyzed information, we compose the Change Log Information(CLI) that can keep track of the chased information about synchronization. And we suggest an operation policy using CLI. Finally, we design an algorithm and adapt the policy as a method for the safety and consistency of data.
