Virtual Reality (VR) was a technology proposed in the 1950s, but it has only recently been actively distributing VR devices and contents. Traditional VR content was mostly pre-created by users, but thanks to the recent rapid development of computing technology, a device capable of tracking the user's behavior in a small size has appeared, and thus the VR content that interacts with the user has appeared. In addition, since VR is expanding to AR and MR, it can be used in all three virtual environments and requires an efficient user interface (UI). In this paper, we propose a UI based on eye tracking sensor technology. The eye tracking sensor-based UI not only dramatically reduces the time used for simple manipulation by reducing the part where the user directly controls the controller, but also reduces the need for a dedicated controller by enabling various types of controllers to be used in combination.

In this paper, in order to solve the problems of a narrow viewing angle and the flip effect in a three-dimensional (3D) integral imaging display, we propose an improved system by using an eye tracking method based on the Kinect sensor. In the proposed method, we introduce two types of calibration processes. First process is to perform the calibration between two cameras within Kinect sensor to collect specific 3D information. Second process is to use a space calibration for the coordinate conversion between the Kinect sensor and the coordinate system of the display panel. Our calibration processes can provide the improved performance of estimation for 3D position of the observer's eyes and generate elemental images in real-time speed based on the estimated position. To show the usefulness of the proposed method, we implement an integral imaging display system using the eye tracking process based on our calibration processes and carry out the preliminary experiments by measuring the viewing angle and flipping effect for the reconstructed 3D images. The experimental results reveal that the proposed method extended the viewing angles and removed the flipping images compared with the conventional system.

Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a tool used to study brain activity caused by external stimuli. In this process, artifacts are mixed and it is easy to distort the signal, so post-processing is necessary to remove it. Independent Component Analysis (ICA) is a widely used method for removing artifact. This method has a disadvantage in that it has excellent performance but some loss of brain wave information. In this paper, we propose a method to reduce EEG information loss by restricting the filter coverage using eye blink information obtained from Eyetracker. We then compared the results of the proposed method with the conventional method using quantization methods such as Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and Spectral Coherence (SC).
