A Review and Comparative Analysis of Various Encryption Algorithms SCOPUS

Now days, Data security is very challenging issue that touches many areas including computers and communication. Recently, we came across many attacks on cyber security that have played with the confidentiality of the users. These attacks just broke all the security algorithms and affected the confidentiality, authentication, integrity, availability and identification of user data. Cryptography is one such way to make sure that confidentiality, authentication, integrity, availability and identification of user data can be maintained as well as security and privacy of data can be provided to the user. Encryption is the process of converting normal data or plaintext to something incomprehensible or cipher-text by applying mathematical transformations or formulae. These mathematical transformations or formulae used for encryption processes are called algorithms. We have analysed ten data encryption algorithms DES, Triple DES, RSA, AES, ECC, BLOWFISH, TWOFISH, THREEFISH, RC5 and IDEA etc. Among them DES, Triple DES, AES, RC5, BLOWFISH, TWOFISH, THREEFISH and IDEA are symmetric key cryptographic algorithms. RSA and ECC are asymmetric key cryptographic algorithms. In this paper, we have analysed various encryption algorithms on the basis of different parameters and compared them to choose the best data encryption algorithm so that we can use it in our future work.

현재 구성 되어있는 방범 CCTV시스템에서 네트워크를 통하여 전송되는 구간에 도청이나 해킹이 발생하게 된다면 카메라로부터 전달되는 정보의 보호에 매우 취약하다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 SSL/VPN 터널링 기법을 이용하여 CCTV에서 영상정보를 보호하기 위한 SSL 통신메카니즘을 제안하고, 제안한 방법을 기본으로한 보안 시스템의 설계 및 구축에 관하여 기술한다. 관제센터단에서 사용할 VPN Server는 Linux System O/S 인 Fedora 8 버전에서 개발하였으며, 현장단에서 사용될 VPN Client는 ARM9 기반의 프로세서를 탑재한 임베디드 보드상에서 구현한다. 시스템 소프트웨어 구현을 위한 라이브로리는 OpenSSL과 PPTP와 PPP를 사용하였다.

If there are some problems such as hacking and revealing of personal information in the existing the CCTV system which is transmitted through the network system, the protection of information passed from the camera is very vulnerable. To resolve these problems, this paper first presents SSL communication protocol for protection image data based on SSL/VPN tunnelling technique, and then the design and implementation of the CCTV security system is described based on the proposed protocol. A VPN Server has been implemented in software on the Linux System, which will be added the control center of the proposed security system. Also, VPN Client which will be used in the setup-box has been implemented on embedded boards with ARM9-based processor. The libraries such as OpenSSL, PPTP, and PPP are used for implementing system software.

An Improved Algorithm of Elliptic Curve Cryptograph SCOPUS

So far, the Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem(ECC) provides the highest strength-per-bit of any cryptosystem. The fast implementation of elliptic curve cryptosystem key algorithms, namely, Scalar Multiplication, is studied in this paper. The limitation of the traditional fixed point comb method is analyzed, and on the basis of the study improvement strategy of fixed-base comb algorithm of this proposed, thus the speed of the whole system can be improved. Through the analysis of Power Analysis Attacks, and on the basis of comb fixed point method, resist power analysis attack methods is analyzed, and the further corresponding improved algorithm is put forward. Through the performance comparison analysis, the improved algorithm can get higher power analysis attack resistance.

본 연구는 저학년들이 암호에 대해서 어렵게 생각하지 않게끔 접근을 유도하기 위해 암호학을 토대로 한 만화 컨텐츠와, 암호 알고리즘 원리를 바탕으로 하여 친숙한 그림들을 이용해 메세지를 주고받는 대칭키놀이, 그리고 공개키 미니게임을 함으로써 저학년들에게 암호학과 보안의식의 관심과 흥미를 불러 일으키고 자연스레 학습할 수 있도록 유도하는 교육 솔루션에 대한 연구이다.

This study analyzes the translation strategies applied to signs that serve as clues in the process of deciphering cryptograph, a major narrative device in Edgar Allan Poe’s novel The Gold-Bug. The analysis divides the deciphering process into eight steps and classifies the key signs for each step as icons, indices, or symbols on the basis of Peirce’s typology. It then examines how four Korean translations of the novel (TT1, TT2, TT3, and TT4) handle these signs. The findings indicate that the translators used differing strategies, including omission, representation, and modification. With respect to each deciphering step, the strategy of omitting some steps appears prominent in TT1 and TT3. Regarding sign types, icon signs such as the images of the gold-bug, the skull, and the kid are generally maintained, while diagrammatic elements such as the character frequency table and alphabet substitution table tend to be either omitted or altered in their representation. Among the symbol signs, the deciphering process for wordplay is omitted in all translations except TT4, and the cryptograph appears only in TT2 and TT4. These results suggest that translators approach cryptographic signs differently depending on the target readers, the role and function of the target text, and the publisher’s intentions.
