This research intends to identify some of the common lexico-grammatical errors Korean secondary school students make in learning English. The data used in this research consists of an about 33,000-word corpus of English written by grade 9 and 10 students. The corpus was scanned to retrieve all examples of misuse of such error-prone word forms as BECAUSE, HAVE, MANY, MUCH, IF, and A LOT OF, using the standard text retrieval software tool, WordSmith Tools. These word forms were compared with those in English textbooks used in middle school English classes in order to investigate how close students' use of these forms is to the taught forms. Overall, it is necessary to provide the students with corpus-based learning methods to acquire some problematic word forms, such as BECAUSE, MANY and A LOT OF. Techniques of drawing students' attention to form or noticing features of targeted items can be useful as well. Although this research could not find all the most common errors the students produce in learning English, it could be one way of identifying significant features of learner errors, in particular areas of common difficulty in writing. It could also play an important role in developing more systematic learner language research and designing learner corpus-based teaching techniques and materials.

Over the last half-century, computer science has revolutionarily changed the landscape of humanities research. This digital shift in research methodology has reached from the brainstorming process to preserving, constructing, collecting, visualizing, and even analyzing materials. Such transformation has brought about the birth of the new field of study: Digital Humanities (DH). DH undeniably has saved much of the physical chores and provided a new angle to interpret the text, thereby making its meteoric rise as a promising future of the humanities. Based on such innovation, electronic circuitry can seem to replace the imagination that detects relationships and significances of research data with ever-improving interfaces. However, despite hitherto technological development, the thousands-year-old essence of traditional liberal arts—human creativity—remains the heart of humanities research and always will. This paper starts by proving this proposition in the way of comparing the old and new liberal arts research methods, focusing on literary studies. Meanwhile, it thoroughly investigates how digitalized bibliographies, search engines, databases, and digital projects provide the most useful data preservation and virtual experience of browsing in the library, along with their limitations due to the intrinsic quality of humanities research data. Also, it probes the differences between traditional and digital data analysis in current methods of literary studies, ultimately presenting the ideal direction for humanities development in the era of digital convergence.

With the development trend of current economy and the rapid development of computer technology, intelligence is more and more widely applied in the construction industry. According to the actual situation of current society, this paper makes a brief introduction of building information model. Taking its application status at home and abroad and existing problems into consideration, as far as the development of the current field. The paper frames structure and simulates the interface with the help of computer-aided analyzing tools. Itapplies the computer intelligence factor analyzing method and gets the factors that influence the building information model are: the expected results, human intervention, promoting conditions, adoption intention, the ability to use technology and educational background variables. Then, through model testing, we got the direct link with strong degree between the expected results and adoption intention, human intervention and adoption intention, the expected results and the ability to use technology, promoting conditions and educational background variables. This paper analyzes the factors and the relations of building information model. Is has a certain economic value and practical significance. It can solve the existing problems in practical construction industry and lays a foundation for other related building software.

With the development of information technology, computer technology has been fully penetrated into every field of life, the computer technology in architectural design also developed from aided design to parametric design. In this paper, the authors analyze the application of parametric design in nonlinear landscape architecture, and realize the dynamic simulation of nonlinear design. By using 3D digital technology, the engineer can simulate the real information of the nonlinear building; and this technology is an important technical support for the construction of complex structures. The results show that in the face of the construction of the complex structure building, the nonlinear shape building is not only dependent on the computer software technology, but also depends on the computer aided manufacturing technology.

Cancer is a major health problem in Oman. It is reported that cancer incidence in Oman is the second highest after Saudi Arabia among Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Based on GLOBOCAN estimates, Oman is predicted to face an almost two-fold increase in cancer incidence in the period 2008-2020. However, cancer research in Oman is still in its infancy. This is due to the fact that medical institutions and infrastructure that play central roles in data collection and analysis are relatively new developments in Oman. We believe the country requires an organized plan and efforts to promote local cancer research. In this paper, we discuss current research progress in cancer diagnosis using machine learning techniques to optimize computer aided cancer detection and classification (CAD). We specifically discuss CAD using two major medical data, i.e., medical imaging and microarray gene expression profiling, because medical imaging like mammography, MRI, and PET have been widely used in Oman for assisting radiologists in early cancer diagnosis and microarray data have been proven to be a reliable source for differential diagnosis. We also discuss future cancer research directions and benefits to Oman economy for entering the cancer research and treatment business as it is a multi-billion dollar industry worldwide.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of differences in computer-aided cognitive rehabilitation aimed at stroke patients on cognitive function and daily life. Methods: The study subjects were Gwangju, Jeonnam including the attention group (group I), memory group (group II), and visual perception group (group III), who were randomly placed in each of a 10 by one problem solving group (group IV). The PSSCogRehab was applied to all subjects who underwent eight weeks once a week after 20 minutes in each group by strengthening mediation 10 minutes 30 minutes total, with a five minute break in the middle. Results: Cognitive function and activities of daily living is security and inter-group differences before intervention, and post-test results in the memory training group II, the intervention group I, III, IV and more on cognitive function and activities of daily living compared to it was effective. Conclusion: The results of computer-aided cognitive rehabilitation measuring cognitive function and ADL in patients with stroke in accordance with the group I, III, and IV group cognitive function and activities of daily living compared to IV showed that it was more effective.

This paper presents a computer-aided simulation and robotic-assisted execution technology of external fixation method to achieve fracture reduction and deformity correction in long bones. Combining the kinematic analysis with a graphic model of the tibia and the fixator allowed 3D simulation and visualization of the adjustments required to reduce fracture or correct bone deformity as a pre-operative planning tool. The developed robot model provided accurate deformity correction with small residual deformity based on the results of the planning. By incorporating the robot model with image-guided system and computer-aided planning, the integrated system could be useful for computer-aided pre-operative planning and robotic-assisted execution in fracture treatment and bone deformity surgery.
