This study was to delve into how school principal's leadership behaviors and school climate influence a business high school's employment outcome. Methodologically, this study, under the official permissions, reorganized survey questionnaire from Leadership Orientations by Bolman and Deal and School Climate Inventory by Butler and Alberg at the University of Memphis in order to obtain the leadership behaviors and school climate variables from Korean business high schools. This study regarded graduates' employment as representing a school-to work transition outcome of business high schools. The survey instrument was administered to 872 teachers of 42 business high schools located in Seoul Metropolitan City, Korea. Teachers whose principals possess human resources-oriented leadership behavior perceived school climate more positively.
Moreover, as school principal exerts structural and political leadership behaviors and under school climate that emphasizes learning environment and community involvement for school support, business high school graduates' employment outcomes increased.

이 연구는 서울 소재 42개 상업계 고등학교 학교장의 지도성행동과 학교풍토를 학교를 대변하는 독립변인으로, 취업률에 따른 학교랭킹을 학교의 취업성과를 대변하는 종속변인으로 설정하여, 변인들 간의 관계를 분석함으로써, 단위학교차원에서 상업계 고등학교의 교육성과 제고방안을 모색하였다. 분석결과, 학교장의 지도성행동과 학교풍토가 학생들의 취업성과에 긍정적으로 기여하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 학교장이 구조적이고 정치적인 지도성행동을 발휘하고, 학교풍토가 긍정적인 학습 환경과 기대수준에 기초할 때, 학생들의 취업성과가 높은 것으로 나타나, 상업계 고등학교가 중등실업교육에 대한
사회적 요구에 부응하면서 동시에 취업성과를 제고하기 위하여 필요한 것이 무엇인지를 단위학교체제의 내적 역할과 기능차원에서 밝힐 수 있었다.
