Reflective Practice (RP) has been widely recognized as one of the crucial elements of teacher education and professional development. However, limited studies have explored how Indonesian Pre-Service English Language Teachers (PELTs) conceptualize and implement RP in language education. This study aims to examine Indonesian PELTs’ conceptualization of RP and their justification of their practices in a higher education context. Informed by a qualitative case study design, the study involved 50 fifth-semester PELTs from an English Education Department in West Java, Indonesia. Data were collected through reflective writings and semi-structured interviews, which were then analyzed thematically. The findings show that participants conceptualized RP in two interconnected ways: RP as evidence-based interrogation and RP as introspective process. They employed different ways of undertaking RP, including journals, social media, videos, peer discussions, AI applications, and creative writing, to evaluate their experiences and support personal and professional growth. This study highlights the significance of RP in cultivating reflective practitioners and supports its integration into language teacher education programs.
