This study aimed to compare the factors influencing spousal relationship satisfaction between married older adults with children in the young-old and old-old groups from the perspective of attachment theory. Using data from the ninth wave (2022) of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing (KLoSA), hierarchical regression analyses and tests for between-group differences in coefficients were conducted on 1,740 married older adults (980 young-old and 760 old-old) to examine whether the factors influencing spousal relationship satisfaction and the strength of their effects differ by age group, and three sensitivity analyses were performed to check the stability of the estimates. The explanatory variables were organized into three domains: emotional and subjective well-being, relational resources, and dependence–autonomy-related factors. Mean spousal relationship satisfaction did not differ significantly between the two groups. Parent–child relationship satisfaction had the strongest influence on spousal relationship satisfaction in both groups, and depression and quality of life also had a significant influence in both groups. Economic satisfaction had a stronger influence on spousal relationship satisfaction among the young-old, although this between-group difference was an exploratory finding without adjustment for multiple comparisons. These findings suggest that support for both age groups should address emotional well-being and family relationships, including parent–child relationships, and that support for the young-old should additionally take economic circumstances into account.

본 연구는 애착이론의 관점에서 자녀가 있는 전기노인과 후기노인의 배우자관계 만족도 영향요인을 비교하는 데 목적이 있다. 한국고령화연구패널조사(KLoSA) 제9차(2022년) 자료의 유배우 노인 1,740명(전기노인 980명, 후기노인 760명)을 대상으로 영향요인과 그 영향력이 연령집단에 따라 다른지를 위계적 회귀분석과 집단 간 계수 차이 검정으로 확인하였고 세 가지 민감도 분석으로 추정치의 안정성을 점검하였다. 설명변수는 정서·주관적 안녕, 관계자원, 의존·자립 관련 요인의 세 영역으로 구성하였다. 배우자관계 만족도의 평균은 두 연령집단 간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 자녀관계 만족도는 두 집단 모두에서 가장 큰 영향을 미친 요인이었으며 우울과 삶의 질도 두 집단에서 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 경제적 만족도는 후기노인보다 전기노인에서 더 강한 영향을 미쳤으나 이 차이는 다중검정 보정 전 탐색적 결과였다. 이러한 결과는 전기노인에게는 경제적 여건을 고려한 지원이, 두 연령집단 모두에게는 정서적 안녕과 자녀관계를 포함한 가족관계 지원이 필요함을 시사한다.
