This study evaluates the structural integrity of the Control Rod Drive Mechanism (CRDM) housing, a critical pressure boundary component of the innovative Small Modular Reactor (i-SMR). A thermal-structural coupled analysis was performed under operating conditions of 15.5 MPa and 325°C for a 10 mm thick baseline model. The maximum deformation was 2.50 mm at the top, primarily driven by axial thermal expansion (+2.48 mm). Stress linearization confirmed a dominant membrane stress of 112.85 MPa, with a combined stress () of 116.27 MPa. This result ensures a safety factor of 2.42 against the ASME allowable limit ( = 282 MPa), quantitatively verifying the structural stability of the current i-SMR CRDM housing design.
