- This study verified the effect of the sufficiency of personal assistance services on primary caregivers' subjective health status and examined the mediating role of caregiving burden. Using data from the 6th wave (2023) of the Panel Survey on the Lives of People with Disabilities conducted by the Korea Disabled People's Development Institute, 421 primary caregivers (parents and spouses) of panel members with developmental disabilities were analyzed. The mediation effect was tested using bootstrapping(5,000 iterations) based on OLS regression analysis. Results showed that service sufficiency had a significant positive direct effect on primary caregivers' subjective health status and a significant negative effect on caregiving burden. Caregiving burden had a significant negative effect on subjective health status, and bootstrapping results confirmed a statistically significant indirect effect, indicating partial mediation. These findings suggest that the sufficiency of personal assistance services protects caregivers' health through both an indirect pathway via caregiving burden reduction and a direct pathway. Policy and practice implications for expanding service hours and reducing caregiving burden for primary caregivers of individuals with developmental disabilities are discussed.

- 본 연구는 장애인활동지원서비스의 충분정도가 주양육자의 주관적 건강상태에 미치는 영향을 검증하고, 그 과정에서 돌봄 부담의 매개효과를 규명하였다. 한국장애인개발원 ｢장애인삶 패널조사｣ 6차년도(2023) 가구원 데이터를 활용하여 발달장애 패널의 주양육자(부모 및 배우자) 421명을 대상으로 분석하였다. OLS 회귀분석 기반의 부트스트래핑(5,000회) 방법을 통해 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 활동지원서비스의 충분정도는 주양육자의 주관적 건강상태에 정(+)의 직접효과를 나타냈으며, 돌봄 부담에는 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 돌봄 부담은 주관적 건강상태에 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤고, 부트스트래핑 결과 돌봄 부담의 간접효과가 통계적으로 유의하여 부분매개가 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 활동지원서비스의 충분성이 돌봄 부담 경감을 통한 간접적 경로와 주양육자 건강에 대한 직접적 경로 모두를 통해 주양육자의 건강을 보호함을 시사한다. 발달장애 패널 주양육자의 서비스 급여량 확대 및 돌봄 부담 경감을 위한 정책적·실천적 함의를 논의하였다.
