This study examined newly appointed medical faculty members’ perceptions of AI-enhanced instruction and explored future directions for its use in medical education. Data were collected from 15 faculty members through descriptive statistical analysis and from five participants through interviews. Participants generally viewed AI-enhanced instruction positively, while expressing concerns about AI reliability, stability, and insufficient technical support. AI was considered useful for improving lesson preparation, supporting personalized learning, and reducing learning gaps, while ethical guidance and prevention of student misuse were identified as key faculty competencies. Future research should develop and validate practical instructional models and establish faculty development programs and operational guidelines for AI use in medical education.

본 연구는 의과대학에서 AI 활용 수업에 대한 신임교원의 인식을 분석하고, 향후 의학교육에서의 AI 활용 방향을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 신임교원 15명을 대상으로 기술통계를 실시하고, 이 중 5명과의 면담 자료를 함께 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 신임교원들은 AI 활용 수업에 대해 전반적으로 긍정적으로 인식하였으나, AI의 신뢰성과 안정성, 기술적 지원 부족에 대한 우려도 나타냈다. 또한 AI가 수업 준비의 효율성을 높이고, 개별 학습을 지원하며, 학습 격차를 완화하는 데 유용하다고 보았다. 교수자에게는 학생의 AI 오·남용을 방지하고 적절한 윤리적 기준을 제시할 수 있는 역량이 중요하게 요구되었다. 향후에는 의학교육 현장에 적용 가능한 AI 활용 수업의 설계 원리와 모형을 개발·검증하고, 교수자 연수 및 운영 가이드라인을 마련할 필요가 있다.

    Ever since next generation convergence technology became one of the most important industries in the nation, computing professionals have encountered a growing number of challenges. Along with scholars and colleagues in related fields, they have gathered in avariety of forums and meetings over the last few decades to share their knowledge, experiences and the outcome of their research. These exchanges have led to the founding of the International Next-generation Convergence technology (INCA) on December 1, 2015. INCA was registered as an incorporated association under the Ministry of Information and Communications. The main purpose of the organization is to improve our society by achieving the highest capability possible in next generation convergence technology.
