Oriental medicine treats not only the patient's physical body but also the spiritual body. This is a major difference from Western medicine. There are also differing views on the nature of the mind. In Oriental medicine, not only the brain but also each internal organ is considered to have a unique mind. The aim of this paper is to examine these differences and stand at the threshold of unified medicine.
