Generative AI, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), is transforming business operations by supporting not only automation but also creative tasks and decision-making. This study examines how AI adoption strategies differ by firm size. While prior research has largely generalized AI adoption factors, it has paid limited attention to structural differences among firms. Using a qualitative case study approach, this study compares large enterprises, mid-sized firms, and SMEs. The findings show that large firms use Generative AI for organization-wide innovation and capability building, mid-sized firms focus on operational efficiency and selective digital transformation, and SMEs adopt it mainly for productivity improvement and cost reduction. These results highlight the importance of firm size in shaping AI adoption strategies and suggest the need for tailored policy support.
