This study aims to conceptualize Digital Media Expressive Competence for elementary students and systematically explore its sub-factors. Major frameworks—digital literacy, media literacy, AI literacy, and metaliteracy— were comparatively analyzed to extract expression-related elements, which were integrated into four sub-factors: Planning, Generation & Production, Verification & Adjustment, and Communication & Reflection. An FGI with six elementary teachers and two rounds of content validity verification with eight experts in computer education and AI convergence education were conducted. The results confirmed content validity for the operational definition, four sub-factors definitions, and all 16 behavioral indicators. This study presents a validated conceptual framework and behavioral indicators for elementary students' digital expressive activities, providing a basis for instructional design and assessment criteria development. Furthermore, the framework ensures conceptual generalizability independent of technological change by incorporating generative AI as an applicable but not prerequisite element.

본 연구는 초등학생의 디지털 미디어 표현 역량을 개념화하고 하위요소를 체계적으로 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 디지털 리터러시, 미디어 리터러시, AI 리터러시, 메타리터러시 등 국내외 대표 프레임워크를 비교·분석하여 표현·창작·생산 관련 구성요소를 추출하고, 이를 기획–생성 및 제작–검증 및 조정–소통 및 성찰의 네 축으로 통합하였다. 도출된 구성 체계의 현장 적합성을 확인하기 위해 초등교사 6인을 대상으로 FGI를 실시하였고, 관련 전공 전문가 8인을 대상으로 2차에 걸친 내용 타당도 검증을 수행하였다. 그 결과 조작적 정의, 4개 하위요소 정의, 16개 행동지표 전체에 대해 내용 타당도가 확보되었다. 본 연구는 초등학생의 디지털 미디어 표현 활동을 설명할 수 있는 개념 체계와 타당도가 검증된 행동지표를 제시함으로써, 향후 교수·학습 설계 및 평가 준거 개발의 기반을 마련하였다. 또한 생성형 AI를 활용 가능하되 필수로 전제하지 않는 구조를 통해 기술 변화에 독립적인 개념적 범용성을 확보하였다.
