This study was conducted with the purpose of understanding nursing students’ perceptions of climate change. In this study, in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 nursing students enrolled in the nursing department in C City, and the data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis methods. The results of this study showed that nursing students’ perceptions of climate change were categorized into 33 meaning units, 14 sub-themes, and 5 main themes, which were ‘Experiencing climate change physically,’ ‘Difficulty linking climate change to causes of health problems,’ ‘Barriers to sustainable practices in the context of climate change,’ ‘The gap between responsibility and action regarding health issues related to climate change,’ and ‘Lack of education connecting climate change and health issues’. The results of this study suggest that participatory nursing education programs regarding climate change are necessary to raise nursing students’ awareness of climate change.

본 연구는 간호대학생의 기후변화에 대한 인식을 이해하고 교육과정 개발의 기초자료를 마련하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 본 연구는 C시 소재 간호학과 재학생 10명을 대상으로 심층면담을 진행하였으며, 질적 내용분석 방법을 활용하여자료를 분석하였다. 간호대학생의 기후변화에 대한 인식은 33개의 의미단위, 14개의 하위주제, 5개의 주제로 구분되었으며, 5개의 주제는 ‘몸으로 느끼는 기후변화’, ‘건강 문제의 원인으로 연결하기 어려운 기후변화’, ‘지속가능한 실천이 어려운 기후변화 장벽’, ‘기후변화와 관련된 건강 문제에 대한 책임감과 실행의 괴리’, ‘기후변화와 건강 문제의 연결교육 부재’로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 간호대학생의 기후변화에 대한 인식을 높이기 위해 간호대학생의 기후변화에 대한 실제 상황 중심의 참여형 간호교육 프로그램이 필요함을 시사한다.
