This study aims to examine the developmental patterns and methodological characteristics of research on Korean language textbook analysis published in KCI-indexed journals in Korea since 2000 and to suggest directions for future research. A total of 326 articles were analyzed according to three criteria: research design purpose, analytical categories, and data composition methods, with particular attention to changes over time. The findings show that research on Korean language textbook analysis increased rapidly around 2010 and has since become an independent and well-established line of inquiry. In terms of research design purpose, studies categorized as “improvement proposal” accounted for the largest proportion, while “problem diagnosis” and “descriptive and analytical” studies have also increased in recent years. With regard to analytical categories, language knowledge constituted the largest area of investigation, and the focus of analysis gradually expanded to include content and organization, language skills, and sociocultural aspects. In particular, recent studies have increasingly examined the values and discourses embedded in textbooks from sociocultural perspectives. As for data composition methods, textbook-only analysis remained the dominant approach, but studies combining textbooks with corpora, surveys, interviews, and learner error data have become more common.

본 연구는 2000년 이후 국내 KCI 등재 학술지에 게재된 한국어 교재 분석 연구 326 편을 대상으로, 연구의 전개 양상과 방법론적 특징을 분석하고 향후 과제를 도출하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 연구 설계 목적, 분석 범주, 분석 자료 구성 방법을 기준으로연구 논문을 분류하고 시기별 변화 양상을 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 한국어 교재 분석연구는 2010년 전후를 기점으로 급격히 증가하여 독자적인 연구 흐름으로 자리 잡았다. 연구 설계 목적에서는 ‘개선안 제시형’ 연구가 가장 높은 비중을 차지하였으며, 최근에는 ‘문제 진단형’과 ‘현황 기술 및 분석형’ 연구도 확대되는 경향을 보였다. 분석 범주에서는 언어 지식 연구가 가장 큰 비중을 차지하였고, 내용 및 조직, 언어 기능, 사회문화 영역으로 분석의 초점이 점차 확장되었다. 특히 최근에는 사회 문화적 관점에서교재의 가치와 담론을 검토하는 연구가 증가하였다. 분석 자료 구성 방법에서는 교재단독 분석이 주를 이루었으나, 말뭉치, 설문조사, 면담, 학습자 오류 자료 등 다양한 자료를 병행하는 연구도 늘어나고 있음을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 결과는 한국어 교재 분석 연구가 양적 축적과 함께 분석 목적과 관점, 방법론 측면에서 다변화되어 왔음을 보여 준다. 향후에는 교재 사용 경험과 교육 현장의 요구를 반영한 실증적 연구가 더욱확대될 필요가 있다.
