This study aimed to identify the subjective perception types of nursing students regarding healthcare professionals with tattoos using Q methodology. The P-sample consisted of 44 nursing students recruited from a university through convenience sampling, and 34 Q-statements were sorted into a forced distribution on a nine-point Q-sort grid. The collected data were analyzed using Principal Component Analysis with the QUANL program, resulting in three distinct perception types with unique characteristics. Type 1 was characterized by “Individual-Centered and Individuality-Respecting” perceptions, Type 2 by “Society-Centered and Realistic” perceptions, and Type 3 by “Change-Oriented and Open-Minded” perceptions. This study provides a renewed perspective on perceptions of healthcare professionals with tattoos, contributes to enhancing cultural sensitivity in healthcare settings, and offers foundational data for nursing education addressing related perceptions.

본 연구는 Q 방법론을 적용하여 간호대학생이 보건의료인의 타투에 대한 주관적 인식유형과 각 유형의 특성을 탐구하고자 하였다. P 표본은 일 대학 간호학과에 재학 중인 1-4학년 44명을 편의표집 하였으며, 34개의 Q 표본을 9점 척도의 Q 분포도상에 강제 분포시켰다. 수집된 자료는 QUANL Program 주요인분석을 통해 처리 하였으며, 유형을 분석해 본 결과 서로 독특한 특성을 가진 3개의 유형이 생성되었음이 확인되었다. 제 1유형은 ‘개인중시 개성존중형’, 제 2유형은 ‘사회중시 현실주의형’, 제 3유형은 ‘변화중시 개방형’이었다. 연구 결과를 통해 의료 현장 전반에서 타투와 같은 외모적 요소에 대한 인식을 새롭게 조명함으로써 보건의료 환경에서의 문화적 민감성을 높이고, 간호교육 과정에서는 이와 관련한 인식을 교육하는데 유용한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있다는 데 의의가 있다.

Along with scholars and colleagues in related fields, they have gathered in avariety of forums and meetings over the last few decades to share their knowledge, experiences and the outcome of their research. These exchanges have led to the founding of the International Next-generation Convergence technology (INCA) on December 1, 2015. INCA was registered as an incorporated association under the Ministry of Information and Communications. The main purpose of the organization is to improve our society by achieving the highest capability possible in next generation convergence technology.
