This study aims to examine the awareness and educational needs of F.R among students majoring in R.D and to examine the necessity of opening related educational courses. F.R is a discipline that combines forensic medicine and radiology, and is used for analyzing causes of death and confirming identities. However, there is a lack of research and education related to F.R in Korea. Therefore, this study aims to examine the awareness and educational needs of F.R among students majoring in radiology and to analyze the necessity of opening F.R educational courses. A Google online survey was conducted with 220 students majoring in R.D nationwide. The survey consisted of a total of 24 questions, including awareness of F.R, educational needs, and general characteristics. The results of the survey were calculated as real numbers and percentages, and the mean and standard deviation were used to evaluate the necessity of F.R education among students. The results of the analysis showed that students’ awareness of F.R was generally low, but the response rate for needing education was high. The curriculum of the R.D requires courses and special lectures related to F.R, and education utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as digital autopsy is required. In order to expand the scope of work and enhance the expertise of radiologic technologists in the future, F.R education needs to be established. It is believed that this study can be used as basic data for the F.R education curriculum of the R.D.

본 연구는 방사선학과 재학생을 대상으로 법의방사선학에 대한 인식과 교육 요구도를 조사하여 관련 교육과정 개설의 필요성을 검토하고자 한다. 법의방사선학은 법의학과 방사선학이 결합된 학문으로, 사망 원인 분석 및 신원 확인 등에 활용된다. 그러나 국내에서는 법의방사선학 관련 연구·교육이 부족하다. 이에 본 연구는 방사선학과 재학생을 대상으로 법의방사선학에 대한 인식과 교육 요구도를 조사하고, 법의방사선학 교육과정 개설의 필요성을 분석하고자 한다. 전국 방사선학과 재학생 220명을 대상으로 구글 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문은 법의방사선학 인식도, 교육 요구도, 일반적 특성 등 총 24문항으로 구성되었으며, 설문 결과는 실수와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차로 산출을 통해 학생들의 법의방사선학 교육 필요성을 평가하였다. 분석 결과, 법의방사선학에 대한 학생들의 인식은 전반적으로 낮았으나, 교육 이 필요하다는 응답 비율이 높았다. 방사선학과 교육과정에 법의방사선학 관련 교과목 및 특강이 필요하며, 디지털 부검 등 첨단 기술을 활용한 교육이 요구된다. 향후 방사선사의 업무 범위 확대 및 전문성 강화를 위해 법의방사선학 교육의 정착이 필요하다. 본 연구는 방사선학과의 법의방사선학 교육과정 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
